Hi,

I am new to this forum and have been following this page from last 2 months. I have booked the Tiago in July 9th, but have not got delivery of my car yet. Dealer promised 6 weeks and now it is more than 8 weeks, still no updates on allotment.

Anyone here knows what is the official waiting period ? When I check with my dealer he said they are not getting cars from 24th August from TML. They said something about production issue. Not sure how much this is true.

I booked a Tiago XZ P in Concorde Motors Bangalore on 30th May. Earlier they told that the delivery would be on 5th August. Now It's almost a month over. Still I did not get the delivery and there is no information about the date also. I too heard the same that there was a production issue.

The max waiting period was claimed to be 3 months. But I guess the waiting periods have increased further. Wonder why this delay in deliveries despite the so claimed production ramp up! Or was there such a ramp up? Has the second and third shift really been working? They were always bragging of their plant's full capacity, but I dont think they are actually utilizing that.
C'mon Tata! I can see many people cancelling and even dealers are fed up dealing with frustrated and angry customers.
You need to have done this much better. Stop messing things and ramp it up ASAP.

Seems like Tata still not up with production or the suppliers are the spoil sport. whatever the reason is Tata pull up your socks. Sell what is getting sold and leave rest else the train will go to next station.

It does not look like issue from Tata. Because, I used to visit Hosur and Chennai. There are many Tiago running on the road. But in Bangalore, I can see Tiago rarely.

Hey Gaurav, I am trying to see if I can help. have contacted few people in tata motors. Hope to get some thing from them. Meanwhile can u pm your booking details and contact details so that I can forward the same to the Tata guys. I am not commiting but all the same we can try this route too.

I'm also in a similar situation as Mr Gaurav was. We also have booked Tiago XZ Petrol White colour from Prerana Motors, Lal Bagh Road Bangalore on June 9, 2016. Have tried contacting the SA and the manager, also have tried through TSM and everytime got a same reply stating the vehicle would be allotted soon. PFB the details of the booking: R/N - 15/16/2850. Branch: Lalbagh Road Bangalore. Booked on Name : Ramachandar Desu, contact number:+91 9845504107.
it would be great if I can get some guidance in escalating the issue.

Tata recently announced that they have ramped up the production of tiago’s by operating second shift which roughly produce 500 numbers per day so per month 15000 cars are manufactured. As of now the total booking numbers is 20155. Also heard that 10000 cars are already manufactured by july.

With this demand & supply TATA motors can actually meet up the deliverables very easily. Adding there was some supply gap with third party vendors like alloys safety systems etc. When compared to maruthi suzuki per month they get 100000+ bookings and I guess tata motor is working on some mechanics of tiago otherwise I couldn’t get the reason behind the delay . if some one knows the reason in deliverables let us know.

Some thing is wrong or under the wraps. Why just 4527 nos when Tata itself saying they ramped up the production and the waiting period is going uphill.

One thing I can think of is Tata produced different variants than what the demand is.

Is is true that XT optional variant is being offered in three colours only (white, silver, blue) ?
I booked tiago (XT (O) orange) at Concorde motors, dairy circle bangalore on 29th May. The delivery date promised was 29th August. After waiting for more than 3 months the sales guy is saying that optional variant only has three colours and delivery date will be 15th or 20th of September.

Anyone else who opted for optional variant and facing similar issues ?

I too booked there only. I booked XZ on 30th May. They didnt say anything about colour. But asked me if I am ok for XT.

Fresh announcement: People waiting for Tiago delivery will surely get their Tiagos within this month or within Oct first week. The production has been ramped up. The original reason behind delay of Tiago XZ delivery was low production of alloy wheels. Now XZ variant will not be getting alloy wheels for 3 months.
Expect your car delivery to be within this month. Even for August booked people. They are bringing the waiting period down to one month.
