Thanks DJ Bro for the update. Hope I will get my Tiago XZ by end of this month, booked in July 9th.

Wanted to know about the after sales service of Tata. Has it improved after Tiago launch ?

Can anyone testify after sales service of cars given in Tata for this year. I do not want to give my car to a service person who does not know anything about cars. I booked my car in Prerana Motors, Rajajinagar, Bangalore.

I know Tata has a bad reputation when it comes to service. But want to know if this was a thing of the past or are they really customer focussed. I will really appreciate anyone coming with honest facts/ experiences for this year 2016 only.

Yes sir. Service has improved quite noticably and Prerna, Classic, Kht and Concorde motors in Bangalore claim to have good service. They are improving more as well.

My friend bought Tiago from Concorde, Diary circle. He was pleased with the servicing there. He had bought in May.

Fresh announcement: People waiting for Tiago delivery will surely get their Tiagos within this month or within Oct first week. The production has been ramped up. The original reason behind delay of Tiago XZ delivery was low production of alloy wheels. Now XZ variant will not be getting alloy wheels for 3 months.
Expect your car delivery to be within this month. Even for August booked people. They are bringing the waiting period down to one month.

Robin, From my 2-3 visits to TASS, it isn't as bad as what is being portrayed on the internet. That said, they are far from providing peace of mind yet. There are obvious carelessness by service center folks, be it washing the car or not properly fitting panels and the likes. You will need to put in some of your efforts to make sure you get what you want. Good thing is there are several feedback calls and other ways to track customer issues (TMSC smartphone app) to assist us with this process. If it goes the right path, we should see considerable improvements in after sales service within a couple of years. Please check out my experiences in posts #44 and #50 of my ownership review.

This is my first post here, I booked my Tiago XZ petrol Orange on 10 July.

You mentioned that "Now XZ variant will not be getting alloy wheels for 3 months", do you mean to say that Tata will stop providing alloy wheels for Tiago?

So 19k(approx) is the difference/cost for the alloys, which is amazing[:D]

Good move Tata, by this we can get alloys of our own choice from the market and customise the way we want. I welcome this pricing difference others may differ.

Yes one can also buy Vista alloys which costs 21k or Akitv Alloys @ 23k, though its not available still.

In the below pic, the owner have fitted Roof Rails, which costed him 1,200 INR.

Hi DJ, today I followed up with the sales advisor who patched me to the allotment incharge for Bangalore. He said Bangalore did not receive any Tiago XZ for almost two weeks in the month of July, due to scarcity of Alloy wheels and thereby causing delay for people who have booked XZ variants for the city. Also Tata did not expect high demand for XZ models and did not have sufficient cars in supply. He mentioned Tata has ramped up XZ variant production and all pending deliveries until August booking should be completed by end of this month. [clap]

I have booked Tata Tiago XZ, Petrol Version, Berry Red in May 2016 from Concorde Motors (Dairy Circle, Bangalore). It's been 4 months and I am still waiting for the delivery. Does anyone know when the deliveries are going to happen?

Hi guys, I took my Tiago to Wayanad(Kerala) for its first long drive.I have driven 1200km in 10 days. Took it for general checkup and everything is well and good.

Few observations:
1.Steering is very light to operate.
2. Suspension has been tuned awesomely. On rough roads through Tea estates, ride was butter smooth.
3. Harman Infotainment System can put any car in this segment to shame. It sounds great.
4. Fuel cap area has started to accumulate some sand. (As reported by some other members also)

I got a chance to listen to few songs from rear seat and I must say it's the best place to experience it. I felt bass to be stronger back there.

4. Fuel cap area has started to accumulate some sand. (As reported by some other members also)
I believe there isn't an official solution to this from TML, most dealers offer to apply sealants to fix this (some transparent, some white colored). I plan to check with my dealer during second service, probably in a month or two.

Hi All,

I am new to this forum. Booked Tata Tiago XZ petrol version a month ago. I have a doubt regarding Alloy wheels that come with Tiago.

Here in Hyderabad, Dealer(Concorde) was saying that he can give me Tiago without Alloy wheels in a week and without Alloy wheels in 3 to 4 weeks.

Whether I should wait for Alloys wheels or just get the car without alloys and get alloys from outside.?

Is there any difference in alloys that come from the manufacturer?
