Tata Tiago: Mini Review + Newbie Guide

Is the 1130 one from Tata? The Tata cover is really good with glowing strips at nght, driver side chain, orvm pockets, elastics at bottom (very imp), antenna pocket. I would suggest Tata one 1900.
Yes in modern cars you can remove antenna just by rotating it. But I found it more of a hassle and without antenna radio sound is poor even in the city.

You are right. There are two types of car covers doing rounds in the showrooms. One is dark blue which is of good quality and other is not that good. I think the cheaper one you mentioned might not be a Tata one but sold by Dealer.

I bought Car cover(silver color) from showroom @1950/- . It has antenna and ORVM pocket, reflective strips and Tiago branding!! But quality is not upto mark. Very thin quality, near antenna space is already torn while putting on!! The best part is it has Zip on driver side!! Once I kept my mobile inside car which I remembered after car covered completely! So its easy to get back things from car even its covered! Its not water proof, dust proof although..

They have changed the cover it seems. Earlier dark blue one had very good review, the silver ones are not that good though. I won't buy the silver one but am waiting for the black one if I get from anywhere. Even the cover I bought from shop(generic) was very poor fitting and nothing was good so returned it. Currently am not using any cover.

Hey sorry Deepak missed replying to your other queries .
I didn't put any steering cover and don't like them much unless its a leather one so have no idea on this. Coming to seat covers, it depends on the brand, quality, design etc. When I purchased talked to the shop they said it was 6500 but by the time they applied they said rate increased and asked 7k but since I already discussed they negotiated at 6500. You don't need to take car for measurements. They take care of all those things as they are well aware of dimensions of each and every car.
I have not taken any accessories from Tata. Well I got mud flaps free and perfume free thats it. Electronic accessories like car charger I puchased from Amazon.

Yes, it was supposed to be a state wide group. These guys must have hijacked it for Bangalore .

Well due to my 1 week Rajasthan trip missed driving my Tiago for few days. Thoroughly enjoyed driving my brother's i20 for more than 1100kms on Rajasthan highways and the car performed very well . So today after 10 days my button lock wasn't working. I have heard its a battery saving feature of Tiago. After a drive it started working. Also after tankful there was a petrol smell in the car. Not sure if it's because of pymp. Evening it was gone.
Today did another tankful. My mid dropped to 15.2 but actual FE increased to 12.8. Its 100% city drive again with 80%ac. Accuracy of MID now is 84.2%. There is something wrong with the Fuelio app. When my FE increased and petrol price was lesser then how come my cost of running increase? (No other cost added)

Today Tata Territory Managers came home and took feedback from me. I could give good feedback regarding Dealer, Service and especially product. They were very polite and listened carefully and patiently. Finally they gave a gift. Such a nice gesture. Very Happy

Just an update, I feel Tata's ASS is vastly improved. I complained some days back in the TASC app about being charged 150rs by service center and unbelievably they made them return the money (150rs only) to me by sending a person to my office. The effort Tata is putting is commendable and ASS is much better in real than the perception.
So effectively I have spent Rs.0 in my 4months+ of ownership of Tiago apart from fuel bills ofcourse
