I spoke to the dealer while ago and he is under similar understanding that of mine. In fact, this is what all the dealers consistently told me during my hunt. Looks like M & M stopped production sometime in past months to rectify so called the issues. Per Sales Manager this is routine autocar coverage on M & M ongoing efforts. I wrote to M & M Area manager for further comments.

I will keep you all posted with whatever updates I get from M & M.

In the meantime please haul me in case any of you heard different from other sources.

Ok, Just now M & M Area Manager has called and reconfirmed that the vehicle that I would be getting from July lot already had gone through all the changes. XUV5OO 2.0 is a typical software Jargon but otherwise from M & M perspective it is nothing but their ongoing efforts. This is what I could infer from the conversation I had.

Is XUV5OO 2.0 version yet to be released in couple of weeks from now? His answer was no. The conversation I had was very pleasant and positive.

Is it a typical pep talk, time only will tell? I am confident that it is not the case.

I am 100% sure 2.0 is simply a marketing blitz to revive fortunes , 2.0 has been cooking ever since 1.0 was released - its just an official moniker now to create a market buzz.

Dealer is insisting to get Teflon, Under chassis coating, Door cavity and all the combo pack costs 10,500/- is it really worth now?

I am planning to get

1) 3D Mats (I don't think dealer has it) any suggestions?
2) Camera ( Part of the deal, so dealer has to fix this for me)
3) Rear guard 4798 (incl labour)
4) Side Foot steps (RS 9249 /-)

Is it a good idea to get 3 & 4 from the dealer? Side step they have doesn't look that great, IMO.

Will 3D mats block any of the sensors? One of the SE told me that 3D mats would block the sensors so not advisable. Any suggestions?

3 D mats are mats placed in the footwell. dont know how any sensors would interfere with them.

stick with the electronic bits to be done by the dealer.

the teflon coating is a sham . they would do a polish job . so do not pay anything extra for it. if its free then agree to it.

under chassis coating is said to helpful in coastal areas. try getting a quote from a 3M dealer to decide whether which option is cheaper.

my advice just stick with a camera.

There is no need for any teflon coating in a brand new car.

Get it from an authorized dealer. The M&M dealer may have fake 3D mats.

The M&M one is sturdy and of good quality.

I come across someone referring 3D Mat - Maxpider Kagu" on this site and is it good idea to get it online or from local shops? If order online, I can wait till they arrive. How do we know who the authorized dealer for this? Which is real vs fake?

I figured out (pasting as is) !!!

Actually 3D is the brand name , Kagu was the old name of the product. Now that has been changed to Maxpider. So when you walk into the shop and ask for 3D Kagus, they will actually give you 3D Maxpider mats. Don't be surprised.
