A subjective view is a view seen from a coloured glass. The texture and saturation is off balance.

A perception is created by the brand itself which cannot be created or destroyed by a single member .
It is the company which gets the perception by the brand focus, sales strategy and after sales treatment.
Logic says not to try to mix these two up.
And i am still trying to find a member having a successfult product with lot of niggles on our forum.
So that view turns and in turn the reliability is a false and premature question.

have you read my post properly ? I have asked ironrock a question and i have said i support tornados theory because iam living with it any problem with that ? And if world for you is only our forum then we have 11 people who have either booked the storme or bought one .
You might be buying car on basis of sales number I don't i buy a car which i like if it sells great fine if not i dont care i use a windows 7:5 phone it suits me and will not buy android because it has a lot of market share .and iam just putting my point across to iron rock for his post.
Time to check your googles maybe they have turn purple from pink now.

BTW.Guys is there any update on the Kerala launch.

I haven't come across any news about it, even in mallu news sites. Is it that some dealers received some Demo vehicles and a grand launch is yet to happen?

officially launched as i said. Now waiting for the delivery. Dealer told me that they will arrange a function for that. Hopefully will deliver within a few days. Will update when i get a concrete information buddy. Sales team told me that will deliver by this saturday. Not sure.

Storme launched in Kerala region yesterday during GKSF opening ceremony.

So already Launched Kerala. Surprising isn't ? Did not catch the Media attention?

Anyways congrats Vichu for the beast. What is the OTR price at Cochin? Storme website doesn't seem to show Kerala in the price list.

Will take 10 - 12 days for delivery of my Storme (Pearl White Vx 4x4).

My question to you is simple a Scorpio sells 4500 units per month and we don't have any data with us about storme lets go with critics here storme sold only 500 .
And as per your review it says that storme is a better product then Scorpio in most of the areas right ? So 1 must buy a less selling better refined product ( assuming its reliable ) or just a high selling product ?

I would wait for 6 months before commenting on Storme vs Scorpio on sales. Storme hasnt even been launched India wide, so it will be unfair doing any comparisons right now. I hope Tata go all out to make it a success, competition is essential for us customers to get the best deal.

But in the longer run I am always of the the belief largely better product(assuming price parity) will sell more (i don't mean it will be bereft of niggles) - This is what manufacturers make automobiles for, its for sales/ making money. Yes as an individual you are free to make your choice, but I wouldn't question the masses on why something sells in thousands - there has to be something good in it or its the lesser of the evils on offer. Off course items like VFM nature, brand perception, after sales etc also play a role apart from the vehicle itself.

Yes they will experiment once a while creating lifestyle vehicles etc which wont set sales chart afire but create brand perception - that's an altogether different story.

On a concluding note here generally, just to prove a vehicle A is good, lets not degrade/bash vehicle B - that's not a right way to an argument IMHO. None of us will ever agree on that one all perfect vehicle(it doesnt exist!).

1.If we compare the interiors of XUV with Storme then which has got better material quality(plastics,carpet,upholstery,leather,dash,door,rubber etc.)?


2. Can we expect that our IR will soon be riding(owning) the Storm'e'?

Either you will hate or Love Storme but you cannot stop discussing about it. All the paper work has been done at SBI bank today for the loan and it's been approved. Now i am eagerly waiting for 14th Jan to get my beast out of the showroom. Cannot express my happiness... It's just like a dream, after the auto expo in January 12 i was excited to see the Storme in new flesh but was aware that my dad will never allow me to buy a new car for at least next 3 years but because of my love towards Safari (Old & Storme) i silently followed the Forum related to Storme on TAI (I found TAI while searching about Storme). But last week my dad told me to look for a new SUV.. and i was on the 7th Cloud, I straight forward told my dad that the new SUV will be Storme and nothing else. I took him to the dealership and he very much liked Storme and we booked it.

Ok guys I finally sat(and drove for a sec) in a friends strome. It was a champagne brown or 'urban bronze' color vx 4X2 model. Its around 13L on road Delhi. I did not drive the car for long so I dont know about its performance or stability but it was quite smooth and easy to drive. The interior quality was superb apart the weird looking ICE head unit. The wood was also disappointing but still the best tata yet. The performance was actually good, did not expect that with that elephant like weight. The handling was decent and rear seats were much better than the Xuvs because I did no hit my head. It had ABS and front airbags just like the Xuv W6. It had good presence and did grab eyeballs. Still like raja said, still doubt the reliability which my friend was also concerned. Does not have the 'wow' factor that much but still quite a likable car. I am sort of against tatas, but why not give it a chance if they are trying so hard? Overall I like it

I think Tata is looking for a grant delivery function in Kerala. Cant find news as you said in media about the launch. But i was there during its launch .

Only an Urban Bronze is there at the showroom. Hope their first Pearl White will be mine. Wanna see a Pearl White Storme.

As per Guralla ,no matter what we should invest in Tata car ,if it returns bitter experiences we should feel like an idiot and if it gives pleasant experience... that happens rarest of rare concerning Tata.

But a worse trait that I observe is dissing the Indian aam aadmi for not buying XYZ product.

My query was just this does less numbers make the car in question bad ? And like tornado said if it sells less or more is Tata motors problem not mine ,and can be a problem for share holders of Tata motors. If a car is reliable its spares are available and car maker is providing and honouring warranty what difference will it make to me if it sells more or less.
We here on the forum are interested in car in question or the profit made by the car maker ? If later too is imp then lets start a new thread on it ,educated members can enlight us there.

Buddy Storme launched during Grand Kerala shopping festival opening ceremony at Lulu Convention Centre, Bolgatty Palace, Kochi. Best occassion for TATA for launching it in presence of almost all ministers and govt officials of Kerala.

But Tata will arrange a function of their own for delivery i think as they can spend some time with their customers and taking some feedbacks.

Of course it is a problem of mine, I wish to buy a good pocket friendly SUV but what the heck so much of goofs and reliability issue.
