guys, the good news is i got the my storme back within 20 hours, the car was started with the original keys. actually yesterday my brother forgot the storme keys at a shop, later someone came to same shop and that time the shopkeeper looked the keys and asked that person whether keys belong to him, to which he promptly replied yes. after that the person who took the keys found the storme with the help of central locking and fled away but he abandoned it in a street which is just 200 meters away. today my two cousins were going somewhere using the same street and luckily they spotted the storme and after which they called me and police. things are pretty clear:
1. its a case if carelessness at my brother's part.
2. the people who fled with the suv were not professional thiefs. they took my vehicle for a joy ride.

every thing in storme is untouched, even a mobile phone. i must say i am very lucky. the only thing missing is storme's key, so i am going to change the locks and keys tomorrow. Also i am going to add gps and other safety features. i did not slept last night and today when i saw my beast that too without any scratch i was like......

Great NEWS buddy.

And it feels so good to see your Beast back with you.

Are you planning for the gear lock as well with the gps tracker?

wow, lost and found. Alls well that ends well. Drilling sessions for your careless brother please.

This reminds me of the incident. Had just purchased my Grande. And had gone to a family function (a big one). Lots of cars in the parking lot (a big ground basically). When I returned, No Grande. I could sense the chill through my spine. New unregistered car. Checked my pocket, I had the keys. Pressed the "seek" button, but my car was nowhere to be found. Then suddenly I realize, those keys belong to my Indigo. And it was there just in two cars length, blinking, every time I pressed the button.

I have one question here, what is immobilizer and what is its work in vehicle?
The immobilizer is an electronic device, an anti-theft system. When you insert your key into the ignition of the vehicle, the key transmits an electronic code to the vehicle. The engine will only start if the code inside the key matches the code in the vehicle's immobilizer. This makes the car start only with a specific key and no other key can be used

Immobilizer can be disconnected. But the main hurdle for a car thief these days is entering the car. The remote key type central locking system raises alarm even when the original key is inserted into the keyhole on the door.
