Tata Safari 3.0L Dicor: Ownership Report

Did you take the car out somewhere this evening? Because I saw a similar Safari with Blue LEDs and Alloys.

Alright. It must be different. The car had blue LEDs below the Headlamps and similar alloy wheels, and it's registration number digits including 64 at end. Just assumed it was yours at first sight.

actually i don't have blue led light strip under headlight any more . Some thief stole it

Same ac problem with "holysatan'' sold ikon.
the new owner faced this and no line was comming from ecm , but car was working fine.

electrician found it to be faulty ac switch and new one from Minda make is 700/-

After reading the ownership reviews of your and Dhaya's Safari, if feel this mighty SUV is pretty low on maintenance if the real issues are found, which imo the TATA guys are usually not capable of. With a good Multi brand service centre around, Safari can be dealt with minimum issues!

Yup Safari is VFM if only tata guys fix real problem instead of changing every part . I have tortured my safari so bad that when i started using my i10 for same work it started giving me problem within 1year .

i come back from himachal today morning with some good and some bad things .

Total distance travelled = 1950KM in 4days
As usual my safari gave me average of 15 with full time AC

few issue which i have notice and others .

1. some sound is coming from right rear tire area whenever i am driving through lot of path hole on road . my guess is rubber or bushes worn out or suspension work is really calling me which i am trying to avoid for now .
2. while travelling from very bad road more like off-road with lot of sudden up and down got lot of cut on my both rear tire .
3. also mother and father was complaining that air is coming from both rear door . it seams there is some leakage . I know what is causing it . need some quick-fix or something sticky to apply on inside plastic
4. while i gave my safari to driver to reverse till i go and bring some stuff from factory . driver accidental hit my spare wheel on wall while reversing because he forgot put safari on handbrake >________> . now it seams rear door need work thanks to driver .

also i think my left and right problem is because of camber atleast that's what alignment person told me


my golden safari . I was surprise that my safari was only safari there . i saw lot of Scorpio and innova but not a single safari

Good pictures Mastersquall , i wonder how you are getting 15kmpl , the maximum i could achieve was 14.5kmpl with constant 80-90kmph in good four lane highways.


Seems like you have some minor niggles , get it sorted out soon.

i always get 15 on highway even 17 in winter this year .

BTW i hope you are testing the FE by tank full to tank full method.

well 15 i have tested once with full tank . But after driving safari for 4years i have very good idea about its fuel meter and have good idea how many KM i can go according to road and traffic condition .
