mastersquall , you safari looks great and tempting. actually i tried to comment on it on the day you posted the pic but it did not show up ,there was some error.
btw why should there be a dent on right side of bonnet(above the right fender) or i am getting it wrong way?

1year ago . I visited my mother village where i had parked it under tree . someone also had tied his cow near my car . when i started my safari . i asked the person to remove the cow . cow was higher ground compare to safari . So cow instead of going forward came backward . then suddenly cow leg slipped and ass of cow hit my fender even i felt vibration hence got this dent . if it was i10 i would have got huge dent for sure

Another thing i forgot to update . i got first time puncture in my safari thanks truck carrying iron nails just 2week ago .
finally took out Jack first time . it was wrapped completely in plastic . I was bit worried how will i lift this beast as lifting corolla or any other car is difficult job but it surprise me that it was easy . only place i have to use my full strength was putting tire in-place of spare tire .

i asked it should be removed . looks bad and kind of unfortunate on such a nice ride with meaty wheels.

I think there is problem with engine . engine is turning OFF with check engine light . No idea what is happening . If i go to Tata they will charge 1200 to check it with laptop T_T whereas carnation are saying 850 .

ok went to Carnation in Gurgaon today . place was awesome . i mean that place made me feel like i am really king then TATA where dirty smells always coming in their seating area .

So asked person to check my safari for suspension problem .
after TD my car he said suspension aren't making any noise which they should had if they were damaged . He said we can't tell just by driving or seeing from outside unless we open suspension . So he told me that problem i am facing of left and right could be because of Suspension Bush

He gave cost
Front Suspension BrushKit = 10k(if suspension are ok )
Whole Suspension O/H = 35K
Clutch O/H = 13K(thinking of changing it at 60K but too hard for comfort )

I asked him if i give them my safari for complete repair means that i don't get any problem from car for 1-2years atleast and all those rust inside car . He said it will be around 50-60k but in the end its old car so don't expect it like new car .

After that i went AutoPsyche . Made them TD my safari to see what's issue . one of them person said that it could because centre pin which hasn't fixed properly . I hope he is right *cross-finger* will save my money . One thing for sure these guys more expensive then carnation

Aah well your Safari is starting to give you some troubles now! This is what i hate about TATA , their A.S.S also wont be able to identify the root cause for a problem!

But isnt 60k too much for the repairs? Your car has still not crossed 60k KMS still! Once you rake up the KMS , you will start to face new problems.

well my santro started giving me problem in its 5th year and even my 2years old i10 has started giving problem also so safari giving me problem is no new .

i might buy new safari in October or November till then i am keeping this car and making sure it run without problem till then .

Hi, I bought a safari 3.0 2006 vehicle, Now, I dont have a user manual with it. can any body help me by sending the user manual .pdf, for Safari 3.0 Dicor.

I have already downloaded the 2.2 manual, But it will be good if i have the manual for 3.0.

Respect i have got from people because of safari is price less . Comfort this car give, i don't think so any other car can give not even scorpio(yes i have TD it also found uncomfortable but excellent SUV for city ) . I have abused safari so much that when started abusing I10 it started giving me problem within 2years but safari never let me down even once for all these 4years travelling same bad road except now in its 5th year .

i haven't checked dadagiri thread . will do right away

How come i missed this thread for so long !?

regarding the suspension , its too hight quote from carnation.
check with a trusted local mechanic.
try to source spares yourself . authorised spares are avail.

A.S.S are idiotics who change all the spares with new one , without inspecting what is the real cause.
and worse is that when a customer say" i want it to be like a new one"
that is it. they will fix a answer of 50k or beyond that and fill up the spares above.

problem is that i don't know what is causing left and right problem as warranty is over so i have to very careful with TATA ASS only regular service there .
Autopsyche says it could be because of central pin
carnation says it could be because of bush
Tata they are still thinking [lol]

they say front suspension need O/H
But dhaya says it is suspension problem which i think it could be .

Now problem is finding garage which have done suspension work of safari before or should go ahead with any shop.

Now new problem appear where my safari engine shut OFF itself with check engine light when in idle and don't start unless i give 30sec gap then it start working properly . i think it could be because of air filter . i haven't got much time to check it . what do you think ilango and also this has happen only 2times

There is a thing called back pressure , when the engine is switched off and cranked in few min this thing happens.

i never find the exact solution for this , my mechanic has removed , nozzle and diesel pump service and refixed , cleaned the head and servie the same , by replacing the valve in one car

regarding this we have experiance with only 2 car . i hope pump and head service may not be need , but i cant conclude on same as a worn out valve may be the culprit in head.

so the exact solution is not yet found , but my mech follows these as this combination of work arrest the back pressure.

in a back pressure , the engine dont crank immediately after a shut off , but will crank after say some min.

Person : hi,can you tell me where is H-Bloack
Me : just go left then enter second gate at right side .
person : thanks . one more thing any idea where is H-448 .
Me : *shocked* i said that's my house!!!
person : *shocked* really

actually that person has been calling me to see my safari for many days but i said i am no longer interested in selling but seeing how excited he was. i said ok you can come in morning but i didn't thought he would came so early . That's real safari fan [:)]
