Good to hear that TASS is keeping you satisfied.BTW you mentioned that 2.2 is a better city vehicle, but I think 3.0 Lt dicor with immense low end torque would have been better in city, while 2.2 with bigger turbo would suit the highway better.Am really surprised to hear from you that 2.2 is more city friendly,what about the low end torque as some people keep on harping?

when you buy TATA you buy niggle with it . i always expect from TATA .

recently new construction of factory make me travel to himachal . But after construction over which is 98% completed then it will crunch mile slow . it will reduce to 2500-3500KM per month . So from January it will be slow

2.2 acceleration is more quicker compare to 3.0 atleast that's what i feel and driving 2.2 feel more polite then 3.0 which was cruel . Also you can't drive 3.0 at 5th gear at 60 which you can do in 2.2 without shacking like dog coming out of water



Today while i was coming from factory i had some work in electricity department . while returning from there road got block so i had to take decision keep waiting or travel through another road which are famous for cars to get stuck . so took that path . everything went ok till i did little bad calculation while taking turn end up with one rear tire in air. it was still in 2WD mode . i tried to get out in 2WD only . My rear tire which was in air was freely moving but after few sec it slowed down and car came out of that situation . look like LSD worked there by giving one rear tire more power atleast i think so . am i right guys because without differential lock that tire would have freely moving . what if i were in 4WD mode without LSD and in same situation would it had came out ?

Yes, you would have come out.

Because in 4WD, even without LSD, all the other 3 tyres are given power, which would have pulled your vehicle out even with one tyre in the air.

1. i made them change engine oil + made them check whole wiring again + suspension + 4WD system + engine coating . though non of them needed but that just i can't put my faith whether at the time of my safari rolling out of factory quality inspector might have fallen sleep . so just to be safe side

2. it will cost Rs.0 if you let them do what they usually do not like me

if you have VX then mostly speaker are good and clear still if you want to change . then its Digital Designs CS 6.5 awesome speaker so much clear more like crystal clear and doesn't start breaking if you pump up volume . you can go for them with eye close . if you need to know about amp and sub let me know

Till today safari has completed 16789KM

Service Bill
1500km = Rs. 6000
5000km = rs. 78(my silencer got bend during going through worst road )
15000KM = Rs. 8000(thanks to my stupid driver letting them do everything else bill should have come around 5k )

Problem
1. that co-driver door or i say driver left side door squeeze keep coming back if i start car with door open only way to fix it is to drive through bad roads then open door and close it again problem solved .
2. Even after changing seat Monitor problem is still there so company who made it will visit me soon to check it personally .
3. Fuel filling door sometime get stuck need to get it checked . didn't find time to visit ASS

Off-Roading
Nothing like big evil smile comes to your face when people are some how making there 2WD to cross worst and muddy Road even some got stuck . Me with loud sound crossing it like king

My expression


I drive my safari everyday through these kind road and its impossible to sit at one position all that time without shacking like you are mixing two item

Atleast take safari where its tire completely go under water like i take it many time(people face are mostly like this ) or atleast take it to place where you have to make angle such way damage is minimum like me both footguard are damaged .

There was area where i made safari bit little more jump and hard landing and guy who was following me in gypsy did same landing but end up with some damage to wheel bearing where as i got it checked nothing found not even alignment got disturb

Strange behavior
If i am alone driving car smooth but still ok ok but if i am driving it with my items which itself weight around 50kg to 1000KG it become smooth and better acceleration doesn't car suppose to do vice-versa

Money saved
89k till now which other transporter would have asked me to transport same thing i do . literally from huge box to small steel item i have transported using my ride . No more worry about bumper getting touch under-neat getting scratch . I am just happy man.




So i still don't have any regrets of buying this black beauty though lot of scratch are there now .

problem is that i am only one driving and only person in car . But will get some time out to take some pic as well as some off-roading pic if possible

About 1500km service because i made them to change all oil in car i don't trust tata + all wire checked + engine spray to prevent rust as well as give it shiny look + other things also

you mean that pearl white safari ? then its 4X4 see side sticker only 4X4 get's those sticker and not easily available at ASS
