The more powerful Bolt will use the existing 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine, but the power output will be raised from 89bhp to around 120bhp. The engine is also likely to be torquier, and to handle all these extra reserves, Tata will arm the new car with Fiat's tried and tested C501 gearbox which does duty in the diesel multi-jet powered models.

The Geneva show car will be properly kitted out with flared bodywork and 17 inch wheels. The interiors too will get a makeover and reflect the car’s sporting intent. The suspension too has been modified with stiffer damping and lowered ride height. Unlike the high-riding standard Bolt whose tall ground clearance is all too obvious, this hot hatch will have a squat stance.

Now thats a real Crossover. With just simple addition of claddings here and there, adding a wheel behind doesnt make it a crossover.

A humble request to TML

Please ditch the Indica/Vista shell
Use a new body shell for the 120 BHP version bolt.
But for that we are still some time away. What will be a more realistic wish is let the variant be launched here ASAP with alterations in the suspension and steering and not to mention the drive modes. An image builder for sure..!![clap]

In that case POLO GT TSI with 7 speed DSG will be a better choice [:)]

Both the concepts looks amazing, I hope both of them are launched without any changes from the Concept and asap.

Seems Tata Motors is concentrating on improving their brand image. I am sure that Bolt Sport will not sell more, but it will help improve the image of the brand. That should help in overall sales at Tata Motors.

A very matured review on bolt by ACI..!![:)]

Tata Bolt Review 2014 | Cars Review | Premium hatchbacks | Autocar India

The Bolt is a huge step forward for Tata Motors and a credible alternative to some of the best hatchbacks out there. It's spacious, well-equipped, nice to drive and, despite its Vista lineage, looks quite fresh and stylish. In fact, the Bolt tugs at your heart strings like no other Tata small car, but is it just as good value as before? No doubt, you get a lot for your money but the higher variants are pricey for a hatchback with the Tata badge. Also, the petrol Bolt isnt too fuel-efficient and the diesels performance is ordinary. Quality issues of previous Tata cars will also be on buyers; minds and only time will tell if Tata Motors has finally overcome this problem. However, put the badge aside and look at the Bolt on pure merit; it beats a lot of its rivals by the sheer breadth of what it offers.
