Re: Reliable Diesel Manza: Unpredictable But Improving TASS (40K Kms Report)

No half clutch , even in heavy traffic , As far as possible, I do not move ahead unless there is 20 to 30 feet space is available .whenever I have to stop , I put the car in neutral , and as soon as space is available , I quickly engage the first gear and then realease the clutch quickly and fully , momentum thus gained is utilized to cover the .available distance. Bikers do get opportunity to come in the way but I control the car with brake whenever biker comes in between .

BTW,
last time when they replaced , they handed over me the old clutch assembly .

May be the quality issue of any part (pressure plate?) of the clutch assembly that they replaced.

Mine were 4th set of wipers in 2 yrs & Yes BOSCH wipers recommended,
I m still using the stock wipers only.it makes sound and leaves water dripping. Time to change I think
I use this rainx. Recently bought this and it works really well. Water beads up very nicely and drips off lie showed in video. In heavy rain there will be no need to activate wiper. Bought in below link. 2 bottles for rs.800

Re: Reliable Diesel Manza: Unpredictable But Improving TASS (40K Kms Report)

Yesterday , I called up concorde TATA , at 4 pm to know about status of work and delivery time.
The store manager said , as he was awaiting approval from TML to replace the clutch under warranty and they have asked him to check the reading of force meter after city running , hence the work began at 3 pm and car would be ready next day.

I enquired at Reliance Autozone about the dynaedge wipers, it is available @500 to 600 INR .

Today I went concorde Tata at 12 MD , car was yet to be washed.
They handed over the car at 3 pm.

Wash quality was top notch.

They had replaced the wipers@ 275 INR hence I had to drop the plan to go to reliance autozone.

The tie clips were not yet tied to wheel plates .Finally they tied only three clips to three
wheel s only as only 3 were in stock, total @67 INR.
The fourth wheel which lost its plate recently during punctue fiasco , was left with out clip , however new plate was fitted @500 INR.

Most importantly , the clutch assembly was replaced FOC including labour charges.
I drove the car 50 km till now after the clutch replacement , it's lighter than ever before.

The wipers are not leaving behind any myst now.

On feedback form , gave them 10 \10 for most of the queries asked. I mentioned that I need to check the clutch in heavy traffic before commenting anything on it.

Rain-X - Original Glass Treatment (473 ml) - [Buy 1 Get 1 Free] - Buy Car Care Products Online | Snapdeal.com
Thanks for this link I could not find rainX anywhere in the market hence had to buy windshield washer liquid with anti freeze, brand name Pyroil will use this till it last then get rainX. Since you use it how good is it in heavy rain & how often do you need to use it on the glass? I get blinded by the windshield even when wipers are full speed.

This video looks impressive

Till now I have not got chance to test with heavy rain. Initially I applied to half of the windshield and left other half without rainx. During light rain I could cleanly see the water beading . But it did not run off like it would in heavy rain. I have a video of a friend who tested with heavy rain . Below is the link

Must have been some loose wiring contact which may caused the problem.

Thinking of wood finish for dash, side AC vents and power window switch. Enquired in Pune, Only Autographics brand in rosewood light color is available. My dash is black and beige.
Please come up with suggestions. I would like to get dark color , and know about other brands such as Stanley.

Re: Reliable Diesel Manza: Unpredictable But Improving TASS (40K Kms Report)

Now my problem is lack of underthigh support on drivers seat for my ht.180 cm with the running on bit higher side I fill little uncomfortable with it , mine is AURA model, . Please suggest me.
I went to the guy who changed my door fabric inserts to leather one few days back

. He removed the seat and stuck white foam under the OE seat foam so as to increase the height of the seat . He also stuck some foam so as to improve thue lumbar support.
Now the underthigh support is improved a lot. and the clutch feel is also softened now.

While coming back to home, I noticed the service indicator on DIS was blinking. As per owner's manual the service indicator on DIS means (pic of a orange coloured car is pierced with a spanner) car needs servicing or at least a visit to TASS. The spring shaped glow indicator also blinks for few minutes after the car starts moving . Don't know what's in store for me in coming future[thinking]. The odo is now 48000 km +.

the glow plug indicator has gone. Its better to replace all the four plugs instead of replacing a single one. bcos if u change one with in 5-7 days another one will be gone. so better to change all.

even i had this same prob in my manza.

I actually do not mind if parts give a warning before failing. That is a part and parcel of maintaining a car. For the comfort and pleasure this car gives, I don't mind the maintenance. It is the on road breakdown that worries me.
