Re: Tata To Rename New Aria as Hexa (Codenamed Eagle)

When they are going to launch it ? OR as usual Toyata will come with new Innova and then TATA has to quietly launch HEXA. Why there is too much delay ?
I guess mostly TML will launch Hexa during the AUTO EXPO and delivery will begin by March. Are they waiting for the launch of Innova ?

We donot see much spy shots of Hexa?? Which might delay the launch as the product need testing before launch. Any insight?

Re: Tata To Rename New Aria as Hexa (Codenamed Eagle)

Tata IMO needs to launch and very aggressively market the Hexa as soon as possible. That is the only way people sit and take notice of this new kid in the block; else the storm coming in the form of new gen Toyota Innova will simply make the Hexa too go un-noticed. And everyone knows what happens when a car goes unnoticed.
IMO if Tata is launching the car in Auto Expo, then they should have started releasing some minor teasers of the vehicle for interest building. Who knows what they are thinking but this fact can't be denied that the launch of new Innova (with more potent engines) will definitely steal a lot of buyers from some segments, even if Toyota prices it a bit on the higher side, which they will.

'Introductory' Pricing for Hexa; either equal to or slightly higher than XUV (20-30k difference for lower variants and 50-100k difference for top end with adaptive terrain response system) for a vehicle offering better quality, comfort and presence should suffice.

Isn't the Hexa a 6 seater ? Won't it be a negative factor for Hexa, since all other full size SUVs are 7/8 seaters.
If indeed it's a 6 seater then I doubt people would pay 15 lakhs (est) for it. People might say its a 6 seater. So that will create negative mindset on this car. And is an Automatic expected this time ?

I believe that would be seat configuration.

6 seater will have captain seats in the second row just like innova. this will be a an offering in the top variant I guess. The lower variants will have 2 +3+3 seat configuration.

[cry] bookings for the New 2016 Toyota have opened in Indonesia and apparently will be here for sale in the middle of next year-well I do hope the Hexa is not pitted against it price wise.

Re: Tata To Rename New Aria as Hexa (Codenamed Eagle)

Today I visited of Concorde Pune showroom for TATA Aria 4x4 but they told me ARIA is discontinued and new Hexa will launch around mid of Feb 2016.

Also I saw, there was some promotional activity going for ZICA. The car was covered with black cover with cameras and lighting all around. They did not allow me to seek through the black curtain. Still I was able to identify it was zica

Re: Tata To Rename New Aria as Hexa (Codenamed Eagle)

Looks really good and seems pretty mature and elegant at least from these pics.

Hope the final product will do what is required for Tata, after hearing the Ban from court on 2000cc engines these vehicles will face big sales issues.
I guess ban is only in Delhi/NCR. But not in other parts of the country. Hence should not be a problem, i guess.

Some more spy shots. The UV looks quite proportionate in these pics. Alloys are awesome!!! Somebody would have earlier shared these here on this thread, if so forgive my ignorance.

Use of pics should give full credit to TAI!!
The vehicle look very much different than the current Aria. The stance seems to be much bolder.
Also the Alloys that the HEXA adorns are really nice and give it a sporty stance. I love them.
Also the car seems to be bench marked against the XUV 500. Good way to make it feel to ride
better than its competitor which is a monoque SUV.

Re: Tata To Rename New Aria as Hexa (Codenamed Eagle)

Some great news for all Tata Motors lovers of this forum:

As off now we can see that four new products from the stable are ready for launch in next calendar year. But as per company’s earlier announcements, they will launch two new products each year and that creates a bit of confusion. We can take it as, the company will be launching Zica and another car, out of Hexa or compact sedan based on Zica, before April 2016 and remaining two in the new financial year. Overall, for Tata lovers, the next calendar year is going to be a blockbuster and a year packed with lot of action

^^, But it is a time for TATA motors to bring a proper sedan instead of Compact sedans.

TATA is still loosing Fullsize sedan customers. Hope it will bring one with new Design with rich features.

When you want to bring in sedan you need to have full confidence of the customers, as a Sedan is considered a luxury for many. Even Maruti with a good sales and trust with customers struggled with the sales of SX4. Now still with such a large reach, is struggling to compete with Honda City with the hybrid version of CIAZ and dropped price.

TATA when launched MANZA had very little to competition, but now with nearly more than half a dozen cars on sale you need to have a fine product on a new platform and the X1 platform will be no match to these modern cars. You need to wait for the modular platform along with a few successful products to venture into this less selling and highly competitive segment.

Re: Tata To Rename New Aria as Hexa (Codenamed Eagle)

The Autocar website has a review of the Varicor400 Safari;they suggest the same engine will be on the Hexa.
Tata Safari Storme Review | Cars First Drive | SUV/Crossovers | Autocar India
Sadly the review suggests that the engine has significant turbo lag till 2000 rpm and the gear box (now 6 speed manual) is notchy. If this is true, its not sounding so good for our Hex:frown:
