Anyone else noticed, Telesto grey has different trim on the outside. The side window garnish on the top is not chrome or brushed aluminium, Also the bumper lower trim is also not silver.

Smoked headlight and tail lamps would've looked sleek on that colour.

That could be the XT variant. It lacks rear fog lamps too right ?

Had a look at Harrier this Wednesday.Watta car really!I got impressed with its high seating position(our Innova also has high seating position),interior with loads of features, huge road presence and OEM music system quality. My dad is thinking to buy the Harrier replacing Innova coz he just loved the looks and dad said that we will test drive the Harrier and decide which car should we buy, either Creta or Harrier and seating position in Harrier is way higher than the Creta and almost comparable to higher GC SUV's.But,if we add Rs.50k,we could get a Hexa XT 4X2 but I feel Harrier is well kitted than Hexa as Hexa doesn't have start stop button and Harrier like interiors. The only thing which Hexa gains is 7 seater. If dad likes the Harrier, this would be our next replacing the Innova or else Creta would replace Innova.

On road of XZ is Rs.19.8L Hyderabad and XT is Rs.18.5L Hyderabad.

Tata Harrier terrain response system ensures excellent drivability in snow – Video

Tata Harrier has received quite a bit of flak from enthusiasts, for not providing AWD or 4WD. But criticizers seem to be completely ignoring the usefulness of its Terrain Response System. Surely AWD or 4WD would have provided superior control and reliability, but Harrier’s Terrain Response System is not to be underestimated.

This is evident in a new video that shows Harrier driving on thick snow without any issues whatsoever. The location is Pahalgam, Kashmir and the video was probably shot while making the promotional ad for Harrier, prior to its launch.

Harrier is FWD 2 x 2 car and terrain response system will not help in providing more traction to avoid wheel spin a big problem in slow. Probably RWD, snow chain or winter tires are better solution.

Watch the Tata Harrier go off-roading with one wheel in the air [Video]

The Tata Harrier is not available with an all wheel drive system, even as an option. What’s available though is an off road mode that varies torque between the front wheels of the SUV that lets the Harrier get out of sticky situations such as sand and slush. Here’s a new video that shows how the Tata Harrier can handle some mild off roading even without an all wheel drive system to help it.

IMHO this video is showing more of incapabilities than capabilities. I'm saying this after driving to all the passes on Leh-Manali road, Khardungla, Wari-La and Changa-la in slight rain and slippery surface. What ever difficult surface shown in the video is nothing as compared to dreaded Zoji-la in rainy season.

After having this experience I can safely say that whatever shown in the video can easily be done by any simple FWD, high ground clearance car without any terrain response system. And for RWD SUV, it is cakewalk.

Also the outside engine noise is crude not sweet as Scorpio.

Confused on what ? Many congratulations on your Harrier XZ booking. Could you please share the price split up.
Sorry for the late reply. I visited two showrooms and checked four vehicles, I can't find any of the so called "GAPS",
My observations
+ve
1. Good Road presence
2.light clutch and steering
3.Not much turbo lag-can feel the difference in modes - city, sport
4. Good space
5.Good interior

-ve

1.lack of back seat comfort ,especially the center)- My kids hates it, Hard leather,
2.breaking is not smooth- may be due to lack of disc break in back
3.ORVMs are too big-more blind spot
4.Music system bellow my expectation
5 Stiff Suspension
6.Left knee touches Dash trim- I am 6 feet

Booked the vehicle online on 25-01-2019, but still today I got any call from the dealer and even got the receipt for the booking amount, Contacted two times in toll free number but the response is not up to the mark.(TATA is always TATA no change).

Decided to postpone or cancel my booking

What is TML logistics department doing , 20 days gone from official launch and many dealerships are still dry , they neither have a demo vehicle ,nor any concrete information about the deliveries, what a goof up after creating so wide spread buzz around the vehicle ,excellent work by marketing team they are just fading it away ,while two contenders namely MG HECTOR and KIA SP are slowly creating the talk , unwanted delay might let the prospective buyers cancel or delay their purchase for other launches , please wake up TATA before its too late

Greeting All.
This is my first post on TAI. I own Punto Emotion Plus and Hexa XT, two very rare cars.
Saw Harrier in Bangalore, was mighty impressed by the presence and the sheer size. Didn't drive it though. Will do it this weekend.

- The showroom people were courteous and there was long queue for test drive.
- Was looking for panel gaps which are being highlighted in other forums, but couldn't find any.
- The interior is class apart and the floating screen gives feeling of cockpit.
- Was able to find the best driving position in less than a minute.
- The doors are decently heavy, the thud is there but not as prominent as in Hexa and Punto.
- The material and the Tan seating is just awesome.
- The dashboard is not soft touch as Hexa.
- Didn't find any issues in opening the door. There was a complain that fingers may get squeezed between the lever and handle while opening the door from inside, but nothing like that happened.
- Steering is good to hold and buttons and stalks were easily reachable. Only grouse, the horn cover is too much protruding for my liking.
- Alloys are let down, hope they offer some choices later on.
- Not big fan of AT but this should be offered as soon as possible.

My first impression and encounter with Harrier - I give Harrier 9/10.

I decided on Hexa in 10 minutes. I would have booked the Harrier, if I were in market for 5 seater SUV,

More updates coming after the test drive.

-PK
