Now a question on the terrain response system.

If the official leaks or teaser shows terrain response like the wet roads, traction control, hill decent. if the car has so called rumored 2WD, how can they achieve terrain response for a 2WD. As per my understanding, the Terrain response is generally managed by differential power in all the wheels, that means if the Tata are going to provide terrain response then the car will have a 4WD or the AWD or 4x4. Doesn't it?
Gurus, please comment.

I second your thoughts, but as the D days for media drive/launch are just days ahead, tweedling my thumb till then.

Hoping against hope for Tata to throw up shockwaves.

I for one, would want to be pleasantly shocked by Tata and not the other way.

So far we have following confirmed revelation from Tata on Harrier
1. 8.8inch Visteon ICE with JBL speakers
2. Terrain response system to me that indicates presence of 4x4
3. Puddle lamps like the discovery, that is not a feature I would be wow'ed. I feel its unnecessary addition. you have lamp under door and that more that suffice.

Tata Harrier JTP SUV render making video – May launch in 2020

Ahead of Tata Harrier’s launch in early 2019, automotive enthusiasts are evaluating the possibility if Tata would be introducing a sportier version of Harrier. There is no official word as of now, but going by past trends where Tata had launched Sport variants of Tiago and Tigor (Nexon JTP launch soon), it is possible that Tata Harrier JTP could become a reality.

If you look closely there is no variant badge in this car.
I think tamo will launch only one variant and customers will be allowed to customise this variant through rumoured diy customisation .
May not be the case. NEXA cars don't have variant badge IIRC. Maybe the case here too.
