3. Alloys 'll b in a week time
4. I'll take interior pics soon.
5. I have installed a powerful horn. I'm using it very much on hills. I'm very familiar with hill driving. But i need to learn a lot to drive big vehicle with powerful engine. I really hate to drive in kerala roads.
+10 that you changed the horn I found the horn of aria very weak , did you found that too ?

Yesterday i drove 400kms more to reach my living place from Munnar, my native.
My car clocked 2200 Kms yesterday.

I feel very comfort. I dont feel any tired at all. But little bit pain in my legs, due to heavy pedals. The brakes are very very nice. I'll explain the performance later.

Mileage:
-------
Hills with 50% AC, 11km/Ltr
Highways + city with 100% AC, 18.8 km/ltr
Average 15.4km/ltr

Its unbelievable compared to its size. My Marina used to give me 20 km/ltr in highways. The weight of the Aria is more than double then my marina. But the mileage is very close to my marina.

I drove the car between 90 to 100 kms speed. I always tried to keep the "Inst.Fuel" value between 17 km/ltr and 25km/ltr. I adjust the acceleration based on the display value. At last it gave me 18.8 km/lts as average in highways+city with full time AC. I hope i can achieve to 20km/ltr after 2nd service.

Complaints:
-----------
1. There is no blower shut-off switch for each blower as in my marina. Aria has a provision to close the blower. But it is creating whistle like air leak sound. Its annoying.
2. User manual telling that, we must not load anything more than 25kg in the flat-bedded seat.
3. One sprayer in rear washer is not spraying but pouring. I mentioned this in the first service. Not fixed yet. But they said it was fixed.
4. My vehicle pulling to left from the start as the alignment is not done properly. I complained in the first service. Not fixed yet. But they said it was fixed.
5. Little bit whistle like sound coming from the engine. I'm not sure its a complaint. I think its course of engine to settle well.
6. Rear wiper creating a cracking like sound in first use.
7. after the first service engine sound is loud in lower gears/lower speed, higher in higher speeds.

Learnt in this trip:
-----------------
1. I found, how to switch on the back mist light. Turn the rotary light switch to parking light or head light. Then pull out the same switch once to glow the front fog lamp, Pull out twice/further to glow front and back fog lamps.

I sent my car to fit the Alloys and fix the small issues not fixed in the first service.

Brakes + Suspension combo:
---------------------------
Aria has very impressive brakes. Yesterday when i drove at 100kms speed, a fortuner overtake me with high speed and slower his speed to have a look at my car. Unexpectedly a KSRTC bus crossed the highway from a cityroad with high speed. Both of us applied brakes very hardly. My car stopped well before than fortuner. My car kept its track, but fortuner not, its back wheel was 30 degree moved to right. Moreover the occupants in fortuner felt hard the braking, but my car occupants was not affected/feared. Fortuner shown little bit seesaw effect while braking, but aria not. The ABS+EBD+SHOCKS done a good show. The fortuner guys will book a aria soon.

I attached few photos as promised. It'll take some good interior and alloy photos later

You forgot to mention the most vital tool responsible for Aria's amazing braking ability:"Disc brakes on all 4 wheels."[:)]

Are you calculating the mileage tank full to tank full or from the display ? The mileage is just too good to be true seriously .

Hey, congrats on your Aria. Its looking brilliant. And the whistling sound from the engine is your turbo sound.. Enjoy the sound !

"All tata vehicles are built stronger than other competing cars"? Is it true even now? I know it was very true when TATA had, Estate,Sierra and Sumo.(we used to own a Estate)

I believe he is following DIS. Mileage will start improving only after 3rd service.
Follow tankful method. Results will be more accurate.

I started with full tank then i filled again with 57.1 Ltr after reach my town. I have driven 880kms in total. So it gave me 15.41 as same as the "Avg.FUEL" display shown. Its very much accurate.

Waw. Thanks for the information. My mind was dumped with the negative matters spread over the internet media on aria. It forced me to listen more then normal. [frustration]

Yes. i feel its stronger than before. I have a chance to read an article regarding the safety aspect of XUV. It got 4 star rating from some country. But it pointed out that, its not safer for front row passengers including driver foots. More over the great brakes of ARIA giving me more confident than the stronger body which the same ARIA has.

Yes. I'm following DIS. I checked the tank-full mileage result with DIS result. It showing perfect/accurate. I checked it 3 times. More over its very helpful to sharp my driving style to match the ARIA engine and get better mileage.

This is little bit off topic. But since you mentioned this,I have read somewhere that quality of steel used in Indian Xuv is different from export version of Xuv,that the export version uses galvanized steel compared to non galvanized Indian version.More reasons to like TATA Aria.[:)]

Unlike domestic models, the international version will be fitted with Bridgestone Dueler tyres, fitted to 17-inch alloy wheels. The export XUV500 is also made using galvanised steel imported from South Korea, while the local version makes do with Indian-made non-galvanised steel.
Now Aria 4x2 also doesn't meet ENCAP safety measures, but atleast steel quality is not compromised in the domestic vs export models.

Tata is the only vehicle manufacturer has crash test facility in india. So they do test the crash worthiness of all their vehicles first before do the road test. But mahindra using thicker sheet metal, but leave everything with some imagination as its safe. Most of the mahindra vehicles dont have side impact bar. But all the tata cars are very much safer even nano. Thats the main reason i continuously buying tata vehicles.

I NEED SAFETY THAN ANYTHING.

Warranty claims are very simple in tata. I know how to treat/handle the service persons to solve my issues in dealership level. I can manage that. So A.S.S. is not at all my main concern. They changed my marina shocks under warranty at 49000 Kms, even without intimate me, more over i never felt any issue. My indica comes with 100000 kms standard warranty. Now aria comes with 1,50,000 kms including extended warranty. But XUV comes with 40000 Kms warranty. All the service peoples in tata 'll not do anything without any force. Most of the time i used to send mail of complaints to dealership management, stating that all the above issues must be fixed in the next service. So it'll not treated as complaint against anybody, easy. The same thing is happening to my aria. I always keep a copy of service-sheet. I can use the same while warranty claims. Tata is accepting without any arguments.

Sales executive gave me lot of offers while in the process of aria and my marina purchases. I used to record them in mobile and ask him to write the same matter in written by his own writing. So i can claim the same thing even after took delivery. After delivery of my marina, the management not willing to gave me the free, assured by the executive. Then they gave it after seen the document written by their own rep with the dealership rubber stamp. I always do/keep documents to prove my points. I'll get everything fine.

Sorry. i went out of topic. But this is the reason which i opt for another tata vehicle without think about the A.S.S. Now tata gave a toll free number to hear the complaints directly.

Warranty claims are not easy from BMW to mahindra. All the companies replacing parts under warranty directly by company's knowledge. But tata dealers handling the warranty claims directly.

I'll keep my car for 3,00,000 kms. My aria giving me 50% extra mile per litter than innova. So i need to pay extra 2Rs per kilometer in innova than aria. If i keep my car for 3,00,000 kms, then i can save 6 Lakh rupees only in fuel. So no issue with resale value.

Then what i need extra. I NEED SAFETY. So im getting safety as bonus in all tata vehicles.

So best ASS for me [:D] + Best in safety + best in comfort + best in mileage + best in warranty and its terms + best in value for money + best in service network.

Xover what is the difference between galvanized steel and non galvanized steel ? And what difference can it make in safety ? Do all tata cars use galvanized steel ? And the 4 star rating which xuv has got its for the Indian version too or only for the export cars ?

Galvanised steel is better quality steel with zinc coating to prevent it from rust.About rest of your questions well as of now I don't have definitive answers. But one thing is sure that since TATA have their own crash test facility all their cars are remarkably safe.TATA never have any problems selling their cars in Europe is a testimony of that.

Anyways, here is some info about steel:Steel - Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As long as it relates to Aria, its not hijacked. What say justin?
GI steel doesn't rust as long as the zinc coating is intact. So the car body will last longer. And a rusted piece of iron might look strong, but its like sand castle. So in the long run, cars with GI body will be safer.
