Miles to go before that happens.
More than a product, you need an image to enter and excel in that segment.
Unf. Tata right now is straddling the Taxi image dead center.

I know.
Does not give an impression, visually at least, of agility.
That is something the Innova does very well.

If both the snaps are of the same car, then it means that the base model (assuming that, since the silver wheels indicate that this one does not even have wheel caps) will be with a rear wiper/washer.
That is a nice touch.

I agree.
The side profile is done well, looks good and gives an image of a lot of glass.
But there seems to be a bit of a mismatch between the top of the glass line and the roof.
Me thinks they could have done a better job on the roof line!!

Yeah. The car looks intimidating when viewed head-on. But i am really disappointed with the production-ready variant's styling. It looks more as if it belongs to the taxi market. It has lost the sheen and the aura that surrounded it when it was launched at the Auto Expo 2010. It looked so beautiful back then with those gorgeous alloys and the delicious paint scheme. I hope its priced appropriately, and observing Tata's record so far, it should be another terrific VFM product from their stable.

Correct, I too have the same thought. Over-all design of car is nice but 3rd row rear window design has disfigured the complete side profile looks.

Not to worry about Metallic Paint and Alloys, Since the model spied was on test, It didn’t had such stuff but we should expect it on the final finished model once it rolls out in the market.

The temporary registration seems to indicate that it was not a test model.
Test models on the road would normally have normal registrations to avoid being stopped by the police.
But you never know.

Whatever but when Tata is offering features like Parking Sensors and rumors indicate the price to be Rs.10+ Lakhs, certainly the car will sport alloys as well.
