Nice picture of Meet, Zinam. This Chennai meet thread isn't as lively as of Bombay Meet’s, which is not possible without the experience of members who attended it.

Well then here is the report from my side! Sorry for the delay as firstly forum was closed for a few days after the meet and then secondly there was a problem with my net connection!
As usual i got excited the before day and i had another sleepless night. Slept at 3:00A.M only. And the next day i got up at around 8 and started washing my car as i wanted her to be beautiful for the meet. After getting ready at around 10 i got a message from Zinam saying that we will go there together as we are living nearby. But the problem was one of my closest friend ( we are friends from childhood) living a little outside Chennai said he wanted to come for the meet. He had come here to book some train tickets for his family and said he wanted to go back home and give the tickets. Meanwhile i got a call from Zinam and i explained him about my situation , he readily said no problem we can go to your friend's home and then go to the meeting place through a different route. Well i was glad because i thought i don want to waste others time and money ( the other route which we took is nearly 15-20km longer than the easier route) for my personal reasons. Before i started i got another message from Racerdabba saying he has come near my home and he wants to meet me. I then left home in a hurry and my bad luck it started raining , off goes the effort cleaning my car as it became dusty after the rain again. Then after the rain showed signs of reducing i started from my home and met Racerdabba. He was waiting in his RTR and this helped me find him. As he saw my Verna he also knew it was me. After meeting with him then we waited for Zinam for a few minutes at another spot where Zinam asked me to come. This place is also just a few metres away from my home. Then finally i could spot a black i10 far away so i could guess it must be him. Yes it was Zinam. After meeting and after formalities i got a call from my friend asking him to pick him up from near a bus stop near my home. I took leave from both of them and came back within a few minutes with my friend again. I asked Racerdabba again whether he had any problems coming all together in a different route which is more longer. He also said no problem but i pity him because he came all the way in his RTR while rest all of us had a car. And one more thing is Racerdabba doesn know Tamil so i had to speak with him in english which am not pretty much used to.![[lol]](https://www.theautomotiveindia.com/forums/images/smilies/Laugh.gif "Laugh [lol]")
Then off we started immediately to go towards my friend's home in an RTR i10 and Verna.

Well then here i give the next part of our meet!
A Verna, i10 and RTR starts zooming away to reach a bye pass route to reach my friend's place. The bye pass route is just a few kms away from my home. The route is a 20km stretch which i traverse pretty often to pick up or drop my friend.A great 6 lane road with normal traffic but mostly trucks.
We crossed the toll booth of this stretch and as i am pretty familiar with the route i know the places to speed and slow down. But before i started from my home i made a promise to myself that i am not driving fast and rash and need to drive for economy and good FE. So i restricted myself to within 120kmph! I slowly started gathering momentum and after sometime i could not see both of them at my tail. I decided to wait for them at the end of the 20km stretch and continue to move on.
While i was cruising i can see a speeding Captiva in my rear view mirror approaching me. I wanted to race with that guy but as i had made a promise before i started not to speed around , i decided to keep up the promise and let go the Captiva with his pride untouched and not shattered.
Then finally having reached almost the end of the stretch i decided to engage my car to Neutral and keep the momentum taking the car forward. I was waiting waiting and my car had crossed 1km with its own momentum. Finally when the momentum of the car was about to die i could see an i10 and RTR fast approaching me. Then again i gather pace and we reach my friend's place. We waited there for another 10 mins and it was nearly 12 here itself. Zinam got a call from Surendar saying he has spotted many exotics here in Chennai near VGP and asked us to come there soon. Zinam took a couple of pictures of me and Racerdabba together along with our rides and i think he has not uploaded that image yet. Please upload that also if possible bro.
Then finally my friend came back from his home and we started to move again. We had to take a route in which we had to pay in another toll plaza. Then after some another 30mins we reached VGP. We could see Ilango's Marina and Surendar's Verna parked in the opposite side. SO we decided to take an U-turn and park our cars in a neat manner.
After parking met up with SUrendar and Ilango. I was glad to meet them again after we last met in Pondicherry.
