I am traveling to Shimoga this weekend. I guess the temperature there and Chikmangalur would be more or less same.

I think even Dorm facility too available where the stay may cost lessor.

Thanks Vishwas.

Not much tourists has both plus and minus. we can get rooms at concessional rates. at the same time it may not be fun if we alone there.

And I think we will be able to manage the chillness than rain. Rain might be spoilsport sometimes.

Rains would be stopped hopefully, for the chillness will be there.

How would be temperatures at point of the year, I feel Bangalore it self will be pretty cool

All, those 4x4 trials which you saw in the pictures, that is where the 4x4 rally will be held in Karnataka.

Any other suggestions apart from 'Rottikallu resort' in Sakleshpur? or any place near chikmagalur?

Apart from this, few other good resorts are - Coffee gudda, Jhari resorts, Ghatti kallu, Byne kaadu resorts.

People can visit respective websites of the above mentioned resorts before finalizing!

Just a quick reply before going thru info about the other resorts you have mentioned.

The amazing thing is the thread you mentioned was read by almost all of us and even i had posted a suggestion about adding this place to our destination list. See my post

But somehow all of us had forgot that thread completely.

One more clarification. is all these resorts are in the same location?

Even I too forgot that thread where I have complimented his first pic and also the Punto.

This seems to be a very good option as of now, so do fee finalise soon to get ahead with bookings

@ sethumurugan & Gurrala, No probs! As far as I know all these resorts should be located in the close vicinity i.e, within 15-20 kms from each other. However, I shall confirm the same. In the meanwhile, if any TAIan is aware of it; he can help us.

One more thing to keep in mind before deciding the place is about the parking facility at the resorts. We need to factor in appx number of cars and then check the scenario at different resorts.
