Wow guys . Suddenly the inter region meet became an international meet. Haha. I also support the fact that this meet should happen first. But the idea of an international meet would be super awesome.

Out of the all places we have short listed I have prepared the attached chart. Based on average distance which either chennai/mumbai team need to travel [Bangalore Guys no worries for you]

I think only three falls in for destination which needs to be freezon in next few days. So that we can organize for the following things

• Travel itinerary from home location to Base station
• Stay at Base station if necessary
• Travel itinerary from Base station to destination
• Stay at Destination
• Food at Destination
• Travel plan at destination
• Agenda for the meeting

Suggestions/comments are welcome.

Gurrala sir, Still everything depends on the MH friends confirmation. I am still waiting for some positive responses from them. As I have mentioned in the previous post, we should freeze the destination by this month end.

OK, agreed Sethu. We need to really see the MH friends numbers to finalise the destination which is important. So we really need to wait till this month or even till Dec'15th no problem.

Hogenakal is just falls, it will be more apt for one day trips, moreover the place is much crowded at Saturdays and Sundays.

The best thing is to plan the other way round, first freeze the destination and then move forward with the confirmations.

Okie I have suggested Humpi, thirthahalli and chickmanglur. Let us freeze on any one of the place in it. People who have been there or who know this area better only will be able to help us to guiding it.

Hampi is too far from Chennai as well as Bangalore Dear Sethu.

Vishwas. If you feel hampi is not okie no problem. We will ZEROize on Chickmagalur or Thirthahalli depending upon the facilities available, idealistic for meet etc etc.

Yes. Work is hogging all my time I will try to stay more active.


And I second Vishwas with Chickmagalur. It should be beautiful at that time of year. There is lush greeneries around the place. This meet also would serve a 'getaway from the city' as well.

Extremely sorry for late reply guys. I am working on a new project due to which i cannot commit any dates, but even if i can make a guest appearance, i will definitely try for it. BTW any finalization of dates?

@Vishwas,Sethu, if Chickmaglur suits well then we will freeze it out and start doing the rest of the plan and meanwhile invite our members to post if they have any experience there and we will also search on the internet and post reviews,pics so that it will attract other members to from other regions.

@Akash, Nice to see your participation here, for such reasons of work we have fixed the dates ast 25 to 27/01/13 where they are saturday & sunday and also Republic Day. Our plan is to reach the destination by 25th afternoon and have a lunch altogether and leave back on 26th afternoon after a lunch, we have kept this keeping in mind that people have to return back to their destinations where Sunday will be helpful and for others who is nearby could utilise their sunday for other weekend works and bit a rest before getting back to offices.

ITS CHIKMAGALUR

Chikmagalur (also known as Chikkamagaluru) is a town located in Chikkamagaluru district in the Indian state of Karnataka. Located in the foothills of Mullayanagiri range, Chikmagalur is famous for coffee and is known as the 'coffee land' of Karnataka. Chikmagalur is famous for its hill stations.

The nearest airport to this town is Bajpe international airport of Mangalore (160 km). It has a star resorts called "The Gateway Hotel" and The Serai.
