I think not yet Marun. We need to select 1-3 destinations within near to bangalore and coibatore,kolhapur area and present them with km distance to them from each city like Mumbai,Chennai,Pune,Coibatore,Cochin,Trivandrum,Bangalore,Pondy. I wish Sethu Sir do something on this[:)] please

Yes, Ajith, That is nice that you are back. Pls go thru the thread and throw up your suggestions/ideas/comments we are looking for.

As you have seen, still we are little bit confused on the destination. we would like to have a destination somewhere near bangalore with cool climate just look around and enjoy. main thing would be the meet, we should be able to have a nice meeting leisurely, not as the one we had at Vellore. this is going to be 4-5 days meet [2.5 days travel 1.5 to 2.5 days stay]

Will do Sethu sir, Western Ghats is really a good place. Really lush greenery and is very serene. Coorg, Wayanad are two places which comes to mind when western ghats are mentioned. And, both places offer ton of off-roading as well. Will keep and eye out for more places. Will get myself upto speed with the thread by today. [glasses]

Dates are Fixed Amit. We wanted to do that first so that people can plan their leaves/schedules etc.

Jan 24th to 27th of Jan 2013. Being 26th/27th sat and sun people need to avail leave on 24th/25th [for only people from long place like chenna/pune/hyd] bangalore people can avail leave only for 25th.

For rough idea pls go thru this post

I thought shimoga is the one that is closest to all of us. I am considering pals from pune as well. Will they be coming? [:)] From Kochi, shimoga is some 600 kms.

I found Sakleshpur is also equally interesting spot in western ghats, check it out !!

Yupp!!! Sakleshpur is quiet and isolated. Nice place to enjoy as well. The problem is it is a bit far from Pune with distance of 780 Km. Apart from that, the place is really awesome.

[gun] blasted through the previous pages. Whew !!. Wow, so, from the looks of it dates are fixed and should be perfect for me. Place for the meet, Wayanad seems to be an option. Near Shimoga Jog falls is there, not to mention the western ghats beauty, Goa is also a good option. Well, in the end I just want to do [drive]
