Yeah. 2 days back I caused a dent on a Maruti Zen when parking my car. The car already had scratches and dents all over and the new one was just a small addition to them. I gave my phone number to the security guy who was there and the car owner called me after a while. I apologized to him for the mistake but he was reacting as if I had damaged his new car. He was like 'driver side door ko khulwa kar repair karwana padega. Or may be it needs to be replaced.' Looked like he was expecting at least 3-4 thousands from me. I politely said sir, the door already had dents and I will get just the ones caused be me repaired. Next day I showed the dent to my car cleaning guy who is also a driver and he said the local mechanic will repair it for 3-4 hundred bucks. Now I have asked him to take the car and get it repaired next weekend. This was the situation when we live in the same place. I was wondering how I was going to deal with such situation on road with total strangers. [:)]
You handled the situation well. These shameless morons actually wait for such things to happen to blame the entire damage on the other party. They also insist on repairing at ASS as they will get good quality repair work done free of cost. Just slap a 500 rupee note on this Zen owner's face! Or you can get his car repaired yourself and tell the repair guys to do a superficial repair work, touch-up which will look good for a few days. No need to get the entire door repaired.

A friend once met such a foolish stranger on the road, who asked to repair his Indica's left side entire body (because of a dent on front fender caused by us) and followed my friend till his home to ask for payment. That guy left the car at my friend's house in anger, thinking that he would get a repaired car the next day. Well it was repaired, but the desi way! [lol]

LOL! That's exactly what he was saying. When I said I will pay only for damages caused by me his response was 'then you take the car yourself and get it repaired.' I said I will.
Believe me, I have met such people a lot of times. You show a sign of honesty and politeness (by giving your contact number) and they take advantage of this (get his door repaired) [lol].

I can bet that he would not have even known if you damaged his car or not if you hadn't given your number. That security chap would have kept this mouth shut with a 50 rupee note. Seeing the attitude of neighbours (?), road rage feels very normal to me.

Still not decided which colour? 23rd is tommorow, infact 1 minute later.[lol]
Oops RM phoned and said that we'll be getting the car on 27th or 28th. Initially our delivery date was 2nd or 3rd January but we already have told the RM that we want the car in the time of Christmas he said he can't than my dad phoned the Nexa owner, he said that he will deliver the car which will be coming in the next slot & he said that the car will be in white or silver colour.

Call up Maruti office near your city, any number and ask for regional managers number. I am sure, you will get it in few attempts.

Then tell him to interfere and get a car from another dealer on 27th (as tomorrow I doubt if anyway he can make a difference).
But try to avoid buying from the dealer who has ditched you 2-3 times.
Unless you act as strong customer, these traders will consider themselves as "intelligent manufacture superior to Suzuki".
Give your money to another one, leave this dirty fellow.

Spotted this Baleno Zeta Diesel with ugly chrome bits everywhere (grill, air dam, headlights, taillights, boot lid). What are your thoughts?

Actually, scuff plates just protect the paint in the door sill area which get a lot of footfalls. In 2 weeks, mine is already showing marks. I was thinking of getting just the Swift ones if they fit but havent had the opportunity. So if this product is meant for the Baleno, it may work for me. Hence wondering
