So any one from B'lore removed the sun films..or observed any one getting caught by police for the sun films ?
I casually asked a traffic inspector about this ruling and if they are doing anything about it. They seem to be completely unaware of such a ruling. The cops were catching seatbelt cases though.

Wonder what'll happen to Garware, V Kool Lumar, etc...will they supply directly to manufacturers only? The manufacturers too may not install tints on all models, whereas the buyer of that specific variant may want tints, then what option does he have? zilch?

I'm sure Garware & co will challenge this decision & something will come up?!!

Hope it needs no explanations

Wake up cops and judges, India needs sun films due to climatic conditions & health reasons.. UV radiation, scorching summer heat, street romeos staring female passengers...

would you look at the amount of trash thrown on the road, even i saw many removing their films today out here but no checking what so ever
in the pics the thrash seems less :P it was on both the sides.
Throwing thrash is sole irresponsibility of owners and dealers...in no way government responsible for it..car owners should take care to see thier SH**t doesnt give trouble to others and environment.

What you say is ok that owners should take care of it but it is very much govt responsibility to tell how to dispose it! Isint just throwing it into bin going to be a big environmental hazard? I think its govt responsibility to dispose it (wasnt sun-films legal before this judgement?)

About dumping of the waste..everyone must take its responsibility. If police don't do it,then we must do and if we don't do it them municipal corporation must do.
Issue is that everyone wants the another one to do it.
Typical Indian mentality where people feel shameful to do any task calling it 'CHHOTA KAAM'.

My removed sunfilms are still lying in the boot of my car because the shopkeeper didn't had dustbin and was going to dump them in a 'nallah'.So I just took them back..
Now let the time pass, whenever I'll open my car's boot(maybe once a month) or mr.chauffy will clean the car..they will be removed.

Bangalore Traffic Police - Update from their facebook page which states- "Black film of any transparency is NOT allowed on any vehicles as per supreme court order,Remove it at the earliest to avoid penalty"
looks like Bangaloreans are to do away with sun films as well [frustration]

[frustration] So reflective tints can be used(am praying)???? I never put my windows down while driving & prefer privacy alot, this is annoying me like crazy,i just hate it when those auto fellows & two wheeler fellows peep into the car or look at me just out of boredom at traffic signals, what about girls then,i remember a man in a Honda City yelling at a Auto driver cos he kept staring(guessing he was making faces also) at a girl in his car.

To start with I just wish for once the government takes notice of the criminals within there system. [frustration]

we just have to wait and see, there is a lot of opposition from the sun film manufacturers as well. they will not let the government ban their products.

Saw atleast 100 odd sun films scattered on road in Laxmi Nagar area in the evening while coming back from the office. There was a team of traffic cops removing them.
