Re: Suggest a New Android Phone Around 15k

Nitin Sir,

Please read my post once again, I haven't said that " I want a W8 and nokia phone" I said " "I am waiting for w8 and nokia phone", so there is lot of difference between both of them[:)]

Even now certain things I do not like in W8 or Nokia

Nokia phones are not slim and bulky always, comes with all those holi colors

W8 screen cannot be changed anytime and I don't like that up and down scrolling or I am not used to it.

When you enter into menu I do not like that black and white government gazette style display which scroll vertically.

I expect the phone to be colorful on the screen not on the body, so Nokia is reverse in that aspect.

So it is Android or W8 ?? Nokia or samsung nothing is fixed in my mind yet.

I am just waiting to see that 620 how it looks like and its features in flesh, if I like I will buy or if I like 520 I will buy or I will buy a Android one like Galaxy S duos

this guy's reply sums it up well

"I disagree with this kind of test. IMO, in real life, most smartphones are running many apps in background, not only used purely for web browsing or make call. Not to mention 2-3 email accounts pushed to them. Android run everything in background at full speed, while iOS and WP suspend everything not in foreground. I think GSMarena must test the battery life with many common apps running in background as in real-life usage"

and we should not forget 620 is only 3.8" , screen takes most of the battery anyways.

imported ones come at about 17k or so with 3300MHz battery.
IMHO all phones should come with this battery [lol]

Do not know why apps running in the background is bad.

If one needs push mail. Then those apps running in the background is good.

Same goes for apps like whatsapp.

it is 2013 and multitasking is the buzz word.

you can make your android battery last 3 days or more if you set your internet and background processes to run only when your phone is awake. in short it will be at dormant stage all through. So why not call your phone a dumbphone if multitasking is such a big deal!

Re: Suggest a New Android Phone Around 15k

Lumia 620 delay could play into the hands of Nokia’s Android rivals

The Nokia Lumia 620 is turning into an enigma. The Windows Phone 8 mid-ranger was launched along with the Lumia 820 and 920 a few months ago and at the time the company said it would be available in February, but there is no sign of the handset in the market as far as we know.

Even our grey market sources don’t seem to know when the phone will be hitting Indian shores. Earlier, we had contacted the company and a Nokia representative said that information on the release of the phone in India will only be revealed later this week. While there is no doubt that Nokia is working hard towards getting Lumia 620 out to the market, there could be any number of reasons for the delay of the phones, including issues with importing the handset.
Rumour has it that the Lumia 620 will be priced around the Rs 17,000 mark. At that price, one can have the Sony Xperia J, a good-looking, if slightly underpowered, handset, or even the quad-core Micromax Canvas HD. So does it make sense to wait for the Lumia 620, when these and many more alternatives are readily available? If you are waiting for a reasonably-priced WP8 phone, then it does. And the Lumia 620 does have a good set of specs for a mid-range smartphone
One thing is certain, the longer Nokia delays the release of the phone, the more hurt it will cause the company and, of course, the fortunes of Windows Phone in general. Let’s face it. Nokia is the only company that is truly selling the Windows Phone 8 experience hard. While HTC, Huawei and Samsung all have their own handsets, the Lumia range gets the most eyeballs and has the best specs among its peers. Even despite this effort, however, the Lumias are seeing a price drop in the hope of attracting more customers. It really is a shame that the Windows Phone experience, which is generally lag-free and user-friendly hasn't been available on a lower-tier or mid-range phone with good specs, such as the Lumia 620. If it had hit shelves at the promised time, it would have altered the perception that Windows Phone 8 is only for those who can afford the likes of Lumia 820 or 920.

Nokia is also going down Samsung’s route and introducing a Windows Phone 8 handset in all price ranges, just like there was a Galaxy phone for every budget. However, Samsung mastered the game by delivering what they promise and, more often than not, on time. Nokia’s Lumia 620 is still not out, even though it promises a lot, and that could damage Nokia’s fortunes more than they think. We've said it before; the Nokia Lumia 620 could seriously make a difference for Windows Phone 8 smartphones and Nokia in particular (if priced right). It has several things going for it.

On one of the online stores, it is priced close to 24k[surprise]

Re: Suggest a New Android Phone Around 15k

i kill background apps only if am travelling
on other times i didn't bother about it because i want mail notification, call recording app on background and few more background apps such as viber

and my mobile stays with single charge for a day

our mobile should not be short lived at the sametime can't sacrifice all other mandatory things for battery

Ok MSN,

Now a question, may be funny

My present phone is with 1200mAh and after full charge and reasonable amount of calls in a day, if I switch it to internet for 10 to 20 minutes of usage, 75% of battery get drained off[surprise] is this because of dated OS,processor speed,RAM ??

you did not get me, android is the master of multitasking and people here hold that against it whereas it has come @ top in all the tests, whereas in windows 7.5 and WP8 has fared badly in spite of suspending everything not in foreground.

Which are those phones(imported one) ??
am talking about droid razr maxx which is @ top in all the tests.

Nitin, is that setting can be done with any Android phone to save the battery ??
yes
