Its like if not gaming, windows can outclass android any day. I expect more faster response from Nokia handsets.
Nokia did a mistake by under estimating the buyers.
That's why they aren't able to gain the market share lost years ago. I think, by sensibly pricing products, still they will be able to come back with the help of windows.

i don't understand this.

every guy who purchased an android were first like " OMG , have to download this game"

they play that particular game for 2-3 weeks and uninstall.

now everybody uses games occasionally but use only for normal calls and messaging and internet.

people will realize this soon and windows will grow even faster.

What gaming? Windows market is still growing and is in it early days. Windows is better than Android, smoooth, quick and secure. It has it's limitations.

+10000. I downlaoded about 12 games when I bought S3 last week. Played only 3-4 till now and not even started other games. [lol]

I think first of all we have to understand our needs when buying a phone properly. I think its applicable anytime big ticket purchase.
Everyone has his/her own preferences and requirements so one box will not fit everyone. In RK's case I think he is a business user who looks to use it professionally and not worried much about fanciness of the device. He needs more practical and functional phone than anything.
Based on it I would strongly feel that WM8 would fit him perfectly, but RK i think you should be ready to shell out couple of thousands extra if needed don't stick to your magic number. Games, yes having some one or two games always would help(when there is no internet and you are bored, no placed to sleep). I have some simple games like 'Othello' or 'Solitaire' which satisfies me. I am pretty sure some basic games are available on any platform. He would definitely needs GPS and google maps should be sufficient as he is travelling and want to find locations on the fly(offline mapping may not be required). He needs tighter integration to MS Office and Microsoft resources like skydive, One note, Calendering etc. Definitely I recommend a 3G data plan as you start using modern internet enabled phones your browsing habits go up [evil]. Phone should be rugged and responsive. Need a better battery and you have to manage your connections, syncs manually or configure it intelligently. Either switch off the data or switch to 2G mode while travelling without the extra power. But I am also against, switching off the data completely, reducing the screen brightness too much, killing the background tasks as you are not doing a justice to your device. So in nutshell wait is still on for RK.

But whatever its is, this thread has become a 'Library' for anyone buying a smart phone. Lot of views and contributions and definitive good starting point. BTW I am amazed to see RK's composure and self control during the whole process so far. Only thing is he has to 'Finish well'. :wink:

Thank you for understanding my needs very well. Yes its of a more with business needs for me, so my requirements look like completely different to some and completely funny to some[lol], but Yes my selection is always practical, just for example I bought Ritz instead of Swift and 1000 people shouted, cried, looked me like joker and what not, even my mother who hardly know anything about cars and brands, asked me why have you not bought swift, then I have asked her, do you know anything about swift or ritz, then she said NO, but said every body was talking about it. Then I took my time and made her to travel with me for 100km on highway and city and explained why I have chosen Ritz, then she said it is absolutely perfect and one of the main reason I told here was I need lot of leg and head room not only for me for my father too, he is taller than me and ofcourse he hardly travel in my car may be once in a year, but that one time I want to offer him the comfort as much I can.

Sorry for OT, I have just explained to guys how my thought process is about. Yes I have patience to wait and grab the best one as my profession taught me this and Yes lot of things were tempting from the members and even when I have visited a store and looked at mobiles, but can resist from them and wait for the suitable one for me and hopefully the end will be justifying to my wait. Thank you for all the members for their time and contributions on this thread which made me learn lot of things about mobiles. Because when I bought my Wave 525 2 years back, I do not know anything, see how I purchased it

We went to a appliance showroom where my wife wanted a wet grinder, we have finalised one and shop person told us if we buy any product worth of Rs.5000 above, the wet grinder will come for half price(original price Rs4800/-, will come for Rs.2400/-), this is where my wife got sold for that offer and forced me to buy something of Rs.5000/-(this is a very clever marketing tactic, I know this as a marketing professional, but what to do nothing works in front of wife[;)]) So again she said that her mobile is old, so told me to give my corby to her and buy a new mobile, so very quickly in 2 minutes we said the wave 525 is good from whatever there on the display where SE told us excellent phone, I did not know what is there in it, I just know it is a touch screen Samsung made and has 3.2 MP camera, that's it we bought the phone.

See how easy it is if you do not know anything, now my needs are different and I read a lot on our forum and other forums about mobiles and started thinking to have a better one which will be useful for my internet usage for business purpose on travel and to use TAI

Selling something is easy if buyer doesn't know anything about what he buys, But after
using the one that we bought without knowing much about it makes us feel being fooled by the seller.

Isnt S2 plus already launched,or it is not in indian market yet,
I guess you should look at this handset RK,S2 had been its flagship model for a very long time for samsung,and it never loosed its pricing even after S3 launched.
Only if its near your budget value.

Yes, Its an awesome phone, but the present S2 itself is away from my budget, so Plus may be the same[:)]

Whatever smart phone you guys buy its upto your likes/dislikes + budget. I am writing here just to make you guys aware about sony xperia phones. I am really having a very very hard time with my Sony xperia U phone. Never ever in your life buy this phone.

The phone automatically reboots itself. This problem has been identified by lots of customers. Even sony is aware of this issue and still to provide a patch for this problem. Been to service center twice and now they are planning to replace the mother board. Not sure this will fix the issue or not.
