Now Apple iPhone 7 Explodes & Sets a Car on Fire in Australia

apple-1.jpg

This is probably the second case of iPhone 7 getting exploded.

The No 7 seems to be a very unlucky number for the smartphone industry. First it was Samsung Galaxy Note 7 which had to be discontinued by the South Korean company after a series of explosions due to a manufacturing flaw. Now it seems to be the turn of Apple iPhone 7. An Australian man has now complained that his latest iPhone 7 got exploded inside his car and damaging his car in the process.

The man, identified as Matt Jones, is said to be a surfing instructor in Australia. Allegedly, he left his iPhone 7 under a heap of clothes inside his parked car near a beach where he went for surfing. On returning, he saw his car filled with smoke, as claimed by reports from 7 News.

After Galaxy Note 7, Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Now Catching Fire

The Galaxy Note 7 is gone, but the aftermaths of the two months long fiasco continue to haunt Samsung, and it seems the nightmare isn't going to end anytime soon. In last one week, multiple cases of the Galaxy S7 edge smartphone catching fire have been reported.

galaxy-s7-edge-explode.jpg

Problems for Samsung seem unceasing. After the issue of exploding Galaxy Note 7 escalated to levels where Samsung had to discontinue the production and sales of the smartphone altogether, and recall the ones it sold, the problem looks like it’s travelling to Samsung’s other smartphones. Even when the Note 7 combustion reports were high on news, we heard quite a few incidents of the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge units catching fire, but they were mostly ignored considering them trifling, and as incidents of probable mishandling rather than an actual issue. Also, these issues were quite spaced out in time to be considered worrisome, however, recently a number of cases of the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge catching fire have been reported, and it has begun to raise concern.

wow, reliance too is not far behind, they too have created a "cracker of a phone". ;)

Is this because the phone are being loaded with a battery too much for the phone to handle? what could be the root cause for the phone to blast? does the processing increases the temp to such an extent that the battery burst? or that insulation for the battery material is thin and instantly expose the battery internal acid to the temperature changes in the phone?

Boom! Now Samsung Galaxy J5 catches fire

Samsung is already going through one of the scariest nightmares after what led to the Note 7 discontinuation and now reports of a Galaxy J5 being exploded is coming up which further adds the salt to the wound.

The report comes straight from Farnce where Lamya Bouyirdane told The Associated Press that her Galaxy J5 burnt in flames after she noticed that her phone became extremely hot and swell up.

Explaining the incident she said - "I panicked when I saw the smoke and I had the reflex to throw it away,"

After all Jio is here to surprise the market by offering expensive things for less [lol]

I think brands like Apple and Samsung should be boycotted , too many mishaps have been happening since day 1 and they keep playing copy cat to each other like some race
Only these two brands continuously make it to the news for such incidents
For eg, I have never seen Lumias exploding save for certain youtube videos where they pierce the battery etc

Samsung and Apple keep blaming people for using aftermarket cables, AFAIK usb is a standard and it supports cut off when short circuit is possible
So why do the gadgets even accept poor current then, there is certainly a level of encryption inbuilt because it shows "Not charging" at times but doesnt cut off the current like other devices in the market

Phones are getting scary off late

The problem is generally stuffing too many high end components in a small space. These days Even budget phone comes with Oct-core processor whereas mainstream laptops are still at Quad core. Phones overall are starting to have More CPU, RAM, ROM than full size laptops too. But Phones DO NOT have heatsinks or fans like laptops do!

Other issue is manufacturers went with Fixed, Non replaceable battery. The way that battery is mounted and sealed inside limited space, the heat from CPU etc can "Cook" the battery enough to start a destructive chemical reaction.

However, these incidents will bring only the good for the masses. I hope Manufacturers turn back towards Build quality, Serviceability and longevity of their devices rather than cramming too many CPUs in them.

P.s-The old brick like Nokia/Motorola cellphones come to mind.

Yeah thats why SD650 is hexacore and SD820 is quad core compared to the previous gen SD615 and SD810

Some phones like Xperia and Lumia 950XL have liquid heatsinks btw not like laptops but a step forward than apple and samsung for sure

Was the woman Drugged/Drunk or something?
A human being, fast asleep still wakes up at a bee sting. How come she slept till her flesh melted that much?

And there is a possibility that her weight pushed the connectors or pinched the wire causing the short-Circuit hence the problem.
