Well still the hike is not much! But reading reports in paper that truckers are going for a strike and transport agencies are already hiking their charges! Well all of us know where this will lead to finally!


I somehow have a feeling diesel price will be reduced by a slight margin soon.


I will be happy paying higher taxes rather than higher cost for diesel as our running is very high and we can never manage a petrol car for our running!

Delhi'tes may be relieved from Diesel and LPG price hike to an extent because Delhi Government is planning to remove VAT from both. This is still being considered and not confirmed.

Even i prefer paying higher taxes for diesel cars. For people who have a monthly running of over 800kms, Diesel cars make good sense.

Same is being considered by Maharashtra government too! I hope some good sense prevails.

Vibhor does this reduction makes any change on fuel price.
No way, our Govt is hiking prices and then playing gimmicks as if they have reduced some price.

In delhi there won't much effect unless goods are coming from very far as mostly all trucks in delhi runs on CNG which supply daily stuff

No such move in TN , though prices of LPG was reduced by Rs.15. No more price hike please atleast for diesel![frustration] I already hear people complaining that the school vans and buses have increased their fee by upto Rs.1000!

GOI decides to hike to prices of Petrol & Diesel again to increase the dealer's commission: The Hindu : Business / Economy : Another small dose of hike in petrol, diesel prices

The best part is I tanked up at Shell today and was in for a pleasant surprise. Shell Normal Petrol at Rs. 70.65 [clap] At PSU bunks it costs Rs. 71.09 if i'm not wrong.

I guess this is the first time that Shell petrol costs lesser than PSU bunks.
