14th September 2016 to 20th May 2017 is quite a long time to decide on a car. Any plans of making up your mind in the near future?
Some of us take longer time to decide
Im also deciding on a new car since Sept 2016
Arguably since Sept 2016, alot of new models have turned up since November 2016 as compared to boring last year where lesser new cars launched

Since GST will be rolling out this Saturday,we are stlll looking for new car.My dad wants to go for Ciaz but after hearing ₹1.5L increase on Ciaz Diesel,we are thinking whether go for Ciaz or go for Creta 1.6 or a used Vento TDI HL DSG,which has run just 5000 Kms and its an almost year old vehicle and asking price is ₹12.5L.The seller is willing to give me the loan on this Vento but I feel used cars ROI is more.

Re: My New Honda City in White - The Albus

Dear Honda City owners,

I have seen a 2014 Honda City iDtec VMT in urban titanium colour, which belongs to Honda dealer. It has run 32000 Kms and asking price is ₹9L but negotiable till ₹8.3-8.5L.Is it advisable to buy this vehicle or stay away from this. Also the same guy is offering me a Honda City SV CVT 2016 version, which has run just 1000 Kms and white in colour.Asking price is ₹12L but negotiable till ₹11.75L.But I have seen the white SV CVT today and found it to be good and 1000 Kms on the odo seemed to be genuine to me and saw a 2014 Honda City VMT petrol in silver colour, which has run just 17000 Kms and asking price is ₹9L from the same guy again.

But dad is more interested on 2014 Honda City Diesel as he prefers Diesels over Petrols due to higher FE but Im preferring Petrol this time coz City Petrol gives around 13-15 Kmpl in City and around 16-17 Kmpl on Highways, which is way better than our Innova, which gives only 10-11 Kmpl in the City and 12-13 Kmpl on highways. The only grouse with this City Diesel is it is Warangal registered, which is good 130 Kms away from Hyderabad or shall I look for another Honda City?

And what's the FE you are getting in City and highways?Im asking about Petrol as well as Diesel.

I have the new 2017 Petrol VMT and in the last 4000 kms, I have seen around 10-12 kmpl in the city (Bangalore) and 14-15 kmpl on the highway. However, I am pretty spirited on the highway and am always in triple digit speeds including occasional redlining. During my first highway drive in this car I got over 18 kmpl when I kept speeds between 80-100 kmph. So it totally depends on how you drive.

Thanks for the inputs bro. Now,my dad has told me to look at only Diesel Honda Cities preferably VMT Diesel and VX MT Diesel. My budget is ₹10L and should be run around 30-35K Kms.

Buy a new Amaze Diesel then. It is the same engine and you will get a new car in that budget in the higher variant.

Re: My New Honda City in White - The Albus

@Music_Swift, I think used 2014-2015 Honda City for lesser price is the better choice then paying 10L for later models which no major difference. If you have 10L then add few lakhs more and go for new facelift model. Atleast you get something better/newer after spending so much money.

Honda Amaze is also good, especially the facelift model and it is easy to drive around city but I don't know whether it will be comfortable or specious for you.

Altocumulus-I feel amaze is not premium looking as City.Since city is my dream vehicle since it's inception,I still wanted city in our garage.
CRACING-Thanks for the suggestion.I had seen a 2014 City VMT Diesel, which has run 35000 Kms and price he is quoting is ₹8.5L and it's a doctor owned vehicle and sold by an individual.Colour is Golden Brown, which is my favourite one in City.I think ₹8.25L is the best price for this city.Willing to have a talk with the owner.

Thanks for the inputs bro.Had a talk with that owner through phone and he seemed to be genuine. He is selling the car because he got a Polo GT TSI and after driving it,he felt driving manuals is not easy anymore so he is selling it off.Last he quoted is Rs.8.25L and the price seemed to be fine from Rs.8.5L and my dad is willing to buy this for Rs.8L.The insurance has been renewed in May 2017 itself and the car was manufactured in May 2014 only.Since we know the location,we will having a look on this City and take the car to the service center to get it checked and if it is not accidental vehicle,we will be closing the deal ASAP.

And,BTW,the owner is a Doctor and I know that Doctor used vehicles are maintained in good condition.Hope,if anything good happens,we will be getting this City soon.

This is the one which we are looking for-https://www.olx.in/item/honda-city-diesel-35000-kms-2014-year-ID1cFOu3.html#d747ef7024;promoted

Saw that Honda City 2014 one, which has run 35K Kms and in brown colour just now in person along with my dad.The car is well maintained and there are no scratches at all on this car and interiors are also well maintained and it has Ovion Original leather seats.Dad had asked him to sell the car for ₹7.75L but he is willing to give us for ₹7.9L.Good deal for this 3 year old City na?Usually Cities have good resale compared to other sedans and in the end,he had started from ₹9L and ended for ₹7.9L.

Even my driver also liked the car and said,Saar this car is maintained well and there are no scratches and dents at all.

Now,our search for second car almost comes to an end.

No offense to potential owners but honestly Amaze and City have a milestone difference in every way
Id rather take a base variant Honda City over an Amaze personally

Congrats on your purchase, Hondas are Hondas and are honestly the most trouble free cars Ive ever owned :)
