Service centers is a major hurdle for them to cross right now to increase sales. otherwise whatever good products they come up with the sales will not go up.

So all set for the kwid entry. There is a full page ad for Renault today in Bangalore Hindu. Where they said more about Renault and at the end there is a mention about Kwid being the pinnacle of their production, concept and commitment towards Indian customers. I'll try to fetch the image or i'll post the picture in evening.

Since the car already revealed the spy shots are not spy shots anymore. The car has good stance on road and if it comes with proper safety features at least on top variant (unlike datsun) It'll be rocking.

Is there anywhere mentioning about automatic transmission at time of launch? I talked with customer service and they confirmed no automatic kwid this year anyway.

Yes, Even while revealing the car they mentioned that there wont be any automatic variant while releasing the car but there are possibilities that it might launch soon since most of the cars in this segment is providing one which might take the fun out of this car in city traffic.

Nice car indeed and if priced well and if the initial inventory is maintained correctly unlike when the launch of duster first service parts like fuel filter were not available in the showroom. it should sell in good numbers.

I hope they launch before kite since a tata is going to plonk everything they got in this space, a little on the safety front might take some knowledgable customers towards kite and the build quality of kite might make some mark too. Some of the recent pics are below.

If this can be called a baby SUV/micro crossover,Maruti may have to launch one based upon the Celerio.It is very easy to put some plastic on the sides and bumpers. .See the centrally mounted power windows buttons! If this is out at ex showroom price of 4 lacs,a change can be expected.

Amazing car..but Tata Kite would be a threat as kite would be in same kind of league with better engine and better build quality. Let see how it turns out

Renault has to be careful here. They need to create the right mindset in the customers. Giving the car an underpowered engine will not cut it. They need to provide features and safety equipment across the range. The Lodgy has not exactly "lodged" itself in India. What also surprises me a bit is that Renault is trying to bank on a Ranbir Kapoor (who is not exactly hot property right now). And that raftaar campaign is a bit of a damp squib so far. Hardly creates an impact. You dont need a Ranbir Kapoor to sell a Duster. You can revamp it a bit, price it better and it will sell for itself!
