No offence to anyone, but the reason for such low activity in this thread is that people who have actual safety and interior quality in their list will not go for the Kwid. This is my personal view.

I am quite surprised at the lack of activity at the Kwid thread despite so many owners & huge number of bookings. It seems most of the Kwid buyers either aren't Internet friendly or are not aware of forums like this one.
May be because KWID is not giving any issues to the owners. Most off the time ppl come to the forums to share a problem/find a resolution. Be it quality, service, running. Looks like all are happy :)
For me she has been a super car so far. 12000 kms in 6 months. No issues what so ever. Good SS experience. what more to ask....

TheN why would alto sell ? Renault is giving much better looking car than the alto and people are going for it. And this s the type of competition we need , every company will add features to be the best.

I meant the prior on this forum only. I meant that most members of this forum, whom I assume are largely knowledgeable in matters of cars, wouldn't prefer the Kwid if safety and quality are considered. I don't see many alto owners here as well. I'm not talking about the people outside of this forum. I don't care about the people buying Altos and Kwids outside this forum.

Looks like everyone on this forum owns an SUV for best safety. As most of the Indian small cars are unsafe. [;)]

Scorpio is an suv. scored zero.
You talking as if there aren't any hatchbacks that have performed better in safety. There's the Tiago which is priced very close to the Kwid. It is expected to get 3 stars minimum. Heck even the Nano is safer than the Kwid or alto. Yes, the original one scored zero, but surely performed better than the Kwid or alto. The genx hasn't been tested yet and it is now 100kgs heavier than the Kwid. It is future proofed for the upcoming pelican and is expected to provide best in class safety if airbags are provided.

Pelican would be heavier than GENX as the structure got reworked all together and the inside intell is that ALTO will be replaced immediately when the new norms will be introduced next year. And I hope lot of other cars as well included Kwid will put on some weight.

Please ask them about when will kwid racer and climber make into production.

Why have they increased the weight of kwid for brazil and why they continue to offer unsafe car for india, indian life does not matter?[confused].Please grill them regarding safety of the car being offered in India and is this what Renault stands for ?Structurally unsafe car. Also ask them about any plan for a premium hatchback for India in near future.[:)]

I am more interested to know if Renault has made any major changes in the Kwid's interiors for this new model. The interiors of the Kwid were the major turn-offs for me with the existing Kwid 800cc.
