My brother was in Kerala for about 15 days, very recently. After having driven a few hundred kilometers in the Scorpy, he noticed a big improvement in the ride quality of the beast. I was very happy to hear that feedback from him and told him that he was driving after having done “a stabilizer bar bush overhaul” and on a set of Yokohama Geolanders.

'everything is fine as of now and see you in June".

BTW, I am excited these days as I will be joining my Scorpy once again next week. Straight after landing in Thiruvananthapuram next week , I will resume the journey with my Scorpy with a long night drive to Palakkad in rains.

Update:completed 4 years and did a major 60,000km service.

Got my Scorpy serviced at ITL Motors, Palakkad prior to my long trip to Anand.
I made sure that they changed whatever needed to ensure the available ride comfort at its premium.
I got the scheduled 60,000km Service in Advance at 57,544km.

Major Parts replaced and their Price[ in INR]:Wiper Blades front: 548

Wiper Blades Rear: 172
Fuel Filter Cartridge:1640
Foam Air Cleaner:486

Bush Stab Bar Front: 106
Maximile Elite, 1.8L : 576

4 wheel brake cleaning[as asked]: 0.00
General check up : 0.00
Water service: 0.00
60,000 km service labour :1900.00
Stabiliser bar bushes [as asked] : 150.00

Polish [as asked]: 1400.00
Interior Cleaning: 1300.00

Total including miscellaneous :9860.00

Overall, I was very happy as the vehicle was super silent and smooth with its NVH levels comparable to when I drove it for the first time from the show room exactly FOUR years ago.

The unscheduled:
After driving around 2500kms, I felt Scorpy pulling slightly to left.The front left Yokohama has worn out on its outer edge, once again. I was in Thane when I noticed it. Took it to GLOBAL GALLARIE, Kolshet in Thane.I was shocked to hear from them that the camber issue that I faced earlier wasn’t resolved permanently earlier at ITL motors,Palakkad.At GLOBAL GALLARIE, they placed two Camber shims and adjusted the alignment to perfection. Also both the remote keys had their own minds at times and so got them serviced by the Nippon technicians directly.

Total paid at GLOBAL GALLARIE : 1332.00

Congrats on clocking 60,000 kms.

Even i was thinking of getting the wiper blades changed.

Tel us the truth. Is this the pics taken after your Scorpy is 3.5yrs old? Tel us frankly because it looks like it was taken from showroom just now. Kudos to how you maintain your car. Looks simply stunning mate.

Thanks.Infact its not 3.5years old but 4 years now.
Two of those pictures were taken on 28th June,2013 and the other two on the 29th infront of Sarawana Bhawan on NH4 just before Salem.
Current ODO reading: 62732 km

2 questions
1. Where did you get your car polished and what polish liquid was used?
2. Your seat covers look stainless. The color attracts lot of stains, how do you clean that?

2 questions
1. Where did you get your car polished and what polish liquid was used?

As I stated earlier, polishing was done at the ASS, ITL motors, Palakkad.No idea what they used there.To be frank, I wasn't very happy with the polishing job, in pictures it might look good though.It lacked attention to details.

2. Your seat covers look stainless. The color attracts lot of stains, how do you clean that?

• I don’t pull down windows at all.
• AC is always on.
• Clean after every trip or the next day if possible.
• I used a foam cleaner to clean the interiors all these years.I guess, it was SONAX Foam Upholstery Cleaner.I had bought a pair a couple of years ago and finished up the second one also, last week.

well the idling rpm is high. if it is 1.1k

had , if you have an ELM adapter, sync it with torque to check if its high.

the default values are close to 799-800rpm.

Oops !
Actually the idling rpm on neutral in my Scorpio hovers around 900.
I thought, it’s due to the angle [from right hand side] at which the picture was taken made you read it as 1.1k.
Thanks any ways and will certainly give it for a diagnostic scan next time when I visit A.S.S.
