Oops, the service charges are too high, but not surprising. BTW what are these air locks, are these just regular cover or theres anything special about them?

11k is quite a lot for service. I think there would not be any difference in servcice bills for polo and vento tdi. Anyways, peace for another 15k kms.

The air caps would be just normal air valves I guess.

Rightnow it started a bit badly coz my driver went to workshop & workshop person called me 4 asking to opt for paid service.

He started from 4000 bugs and finally came down to 2300 bugs but i said i want insurance. Lets see what happens next...

I think the total charges will come around 3 to 3.5k, from which you may have to pay around 1k.
Nothing to worry I guess.

hii tough guy.

just wanted to ask how much mileage you are getting in city ? 17-18kmpl in city with 100% AC (spirited drive)

and really the service is really costly.

some questions.

1. they don't give free service coupons ? Yes, all services are paid, no free service

2. what's syl lubrication in the bill ? and

3. silicon spry They are used on suspension, light duty lubricant that lubricates, waterproofs and protects, leaving no sticky residue.

4. filter element ? I think these elements were used with air filters please correct me

5. pollen filter ? The pollen filter is like the air filter for your engine except its for your heater/ac to help reduce dust particles and such when you turn on heater/ac

Hi toughguy. How is ur polo performing after the first service ? Any reduction observed in the engine noise? How is the gear shift and the clutch ?

You can insist for exclusion of the same and they will obey but i recommend to go for basic require things to avoid warranty issues later on, i told them to do all the recommended and desired things except interior cleaning and AC spray, since my car is only 6 months old hence excluded the above mentioned things.

After first service i noticed overall more refinement in the vehicle, yes there is slight decrease in engine noise and gear shift is same.

Most importantly clutch pedal eased a little bit now :)

Re: Ownership Review: Polo 1.2 TDI Comfortline (Diesel)

Last week we went to our native place and it was raining heavily ,the ac was on and after some time rain stopped and fog was forming outside of the windshield and i have to use the wiper for cleaning the fog every time and if we roll down the window glass the same is happening inside the wind shield, So i thought we should use the ac but then the fog is forming outside of the wind shield. So we should use the heater or any other procedure to get rid of the fog. U may bee having the same problem in most of the northern states because there will be cold temperatures. How do you people deal with the fog situation.

.... How do you people deal with the fog situation.
Roll down your windows- set the temperature knob to heater towards red dot- set the airflow knob to front windsheid (next to the face point)
This will evaporize the fog whether inside windshield or outside. Then you can set the temp knob back.
After sometime you might have to repeat it. But the best solution would be to keep the windows opened about halfway down.
Try it hope it helps. I did exactly the same when it was raining here couple of days back.
