Re: Ownership Review: Polo 1.2 TDI Comfortline (Diesel)
Hi tough guy. I had visited the workshop guys and after some discussion they had estimated like 13k rs. So what do you think like taking the insurance claim or bare my self. Tomorrow i will be visiting another workshop and find out the estimated amount.
One more thing if i claim the insurance now and latter if have to claim one more time in this year only than also i will get the full claim, or some amount of the claim ?
Thanks GM88 for your kind words, i am sorry for being so late on your thread good to see you enjoying your Polo too, this car surely built to last.
Not much change in engine refinement i am expecting some changes after fist service, i liked the light steering and short throw gear stick but i must admit that clutch of diesel cars are hard compare to petrol counterparts.
No pre service checkup was done till date (except from oil check up before my Amritsar trip), i usually check engine and other oil levels my self secondarily there is a provision for warning lights in all cars if some wrong occurs they will glow :)
Thanks for your kind words polotdicl, look premium is calculated based on the valuation of the car made by insurance company considering the depreciation. If you made some accidental claim you loose NCB (No claim bonus) which is just 20% of total premium amount you can accumulate NCB till five year or so for more discounts which is at max 40-50% of premium.
If you can bear with scratches then i suggest you to avoid insurance claim because paint work decreases the resale value of car in short run, but if you plan to keep this car for long and you are now more confident about your driving (this car in particular) then you can claim the insurance cover.
