No in Mumbai. I think they still can better it by 5000 plus. Although I am not going ahead with Brio but need a CNG so shortlisted on i10 1.2 magna CNG and Wagonr lxi cng.

Getting 46000 cash on i10 and 32000 on wagonr. Also there is 30k exchange bonus on hyundai and 25000 on wagonr. Difference in ownership is coming to 51000 more on i10 that has better build quality and better quicker engine. Also it carries more features like all power windows, Electronically adjustable orvms etc. Only thing is that i10 cng is Hyundai certified but installed after by dealer. WagonR comes factory fitted. Confused!!!
Sumzupdis,
if you are to choose between i10 and Wagonr, I believe you should go for the i10...Hyundai is way better in terms of features and driving pleasure......but Honda I-VTEC is even better :).....

Agreed that Honda has amazing engine performance but as my requirement was of a second car and for city use with 70 kms per day average, I stuck with WagonR factory fitted CNG model. i10 is definitely a good car but I was looking at replacing Swift diesel with some thing very economical for daily running, hence could not afford a petrol car. Diesel itself would have taken my monthly OpEx higher than current situation, hence CNG was the best option for me.

I have finalized on WagonR and will be sharing the solutions to my dilemma in Ownership review but all I can say is that if you do a market research on CNG vehicles, no one can beat factory fitted WagonR in terms of peace of mind and no nonsense aspects of it except the boxy looks it carries! Thanks everyone for the advice. Have booked blue smt version. Did a PDI today at stockyard. Car looks fine. Tires are goodyear, guess they are better than MRF.

On Road Price was coming to 4,95,000. Got a cash discount of 15,000 and free normal insurance and floor mats. That all I could fetch as I am not a good bargainer.

Will write initial ownership review after car delivery, which should happen in 4-5 days.

Good point...and good strategic move..sometimes we do get carried away by the looks and brand without thinking about the practicality of the car usage....Congrats for your new car!

Hi Guys ,
I did a PDI of the car today-looked OKish to me except that the music system and the interior light were not working-the person showing me the car at the Eastern Honda stockyard told me that they will replace the fuse of the car and then it will work-it's standard practice with Honda-do you guys know if that is true or not?I had sent my inspection report to the SA today.
Guys another thing is that my mom has suddenly taken a liking for the Amaze and wants me to buy that as she felt a bit claustrophobic in BRIO.Problem is the SA guy had started the insurance from the 30th of August though the car will be delivered on the 23rd of September-told us they needed to do the car invoicing within August only or else we will lose the discount. Now is it possible that we cancel the insurance, change the car to Amaze and then start the insurance once again? Please let me know asap as I am in a fix. Thanks a ton.

That's tricky now. Since they have invoiced and got the car in stock it looks difficult to change to Amaze but then since you are going for the same make and better car with larger price tag, I think they should act little considerate. Well insurance is not much of an issue as car is not delivered. I assume you have taken insurance from them only so they typically have good rapport with the insurance company so you can ask them to cancel that and issue a new one on amaze. One possibility is to transfer the insurance but due to different idv of both the cars it needs to be cancelled. One concern here is that since delivery of the car is so delayed why insurance is taken so early. Insurance is not required for invoicing. Ideally insurance starts from 2-3 days before delivery, max a week. Why will you want to lose on one month of insurance period? Please speak to the sales guy and get clarity. In case of any issue you can write to Honda motors India and they do respond! !! All the best and do let us know the final decision.

Sumzupdis,
it was my mistake-the sales guy just told me that he needs to start the insurance before 31st of August though I would take delivery on the 23rd of September or else he would have to cancel the discounts offered to me (not much-free 1st year insurance + underbody anti-rust) and I had to agree-he told me that's the Honda rule.I was stumped basically.I have spoken to their sales manager Mr Sharma who is willing to help it seems, precisely due to the point mentioned by you that I am taking a more costly car :)-I would have loved to take the new City but this is my first car and my mom doesn't want me to hammer around with my new vehicle (though Amaze is also quite large). Let's see what happens..will keep you cartans (just like spartans-I just invented it now :)) updated. Thanks a trillion tons to all of you for offering your insights :)

Guys,
I had to settle for the BRIO for the time being- Mr. Sharma informed me that I have to pay 5000 rupees + the insurance charges of around 15k if I cancel the car and book the Amaze...I just don't want to throw away 20k for nothing......they also told me a new jazz is on the horizon..so let's wait and see.....
