Re: Next Generation Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire Launched

Take this then . New DZIRE clocks 30934 units in August sales[clap]
Dzire has killed it. Has any other car ever managed to sell 30k in a month? The competitors aren't even anywhere close to it.

This is just phenomenal performance by Dzire. Suzuki in India are in the league of thier own. Only real fight in india is for the 3rd place. The first position in India snatching from Suzuki, i guess no other manufacturer will be able to emulate for long long time to come.

Its been two months i have this Blue baby.. drives like a dream... have no complaints regarding the engine or the comfort. It just feels like i have car which is above than the segment it is considered in. Feels much more premium honestly.
A small botheration is its onscreen Avg Petrol consumption , it is showing only 11.2 kmpl after 600km of driving. I guess driving in slow peak bangalore traffic is the root cause of this less fuel economy.

So King is back, no emperor of compact sedans kingdom.[clap]. Good to see results but need to look for long term.
From 30k cars in August, the New Dzire creates history in the sedan market now moves 34,000 cars to its dealers in SEPTEMBER. Still 40k customers are awaiting for this Compact Sedan.

Really goes on to prove how much herd mentality Indian buyers have.
Blame other manufacturers for not providing quality and service at that price point and not buyers.

If you have issues with product please share, blaming people for buying it shows ignorance towards ground reality.

Quality and reliability matter and go a long way in getting people's trust. Be it dzire or innova.

And the case is everywhere, ask any Indian in US what's their recommendation and they will says go for japs. Neither american nor European.

So quality does matter and it shows.

Completed 2314 km trip recently in my Dzire VXI (Gallant Red).

Completed Pune to Nagpur to Gadchiroli trip in nearly 15 hours. Left Pune at 5 am and reached Nagpur at 4.30 pm. Left Nagpur at 5 and reached Gadchiroli at 8.30 pm. Did few trips to near by locations and then return journey was completed in 17 hours 30 mins (including 1 hour 30 mins stops for lunch).

My observations are - The car drives beautifully over tarmac and can handle most of the potholes with ease. It was only when I came across huge craters that I had to slow down considerably to manage them. Fuel efficiency was also very good, got 19.2 km/l based on the tankful to tankful method.

Truly comfortable ergonomics. I am 6' 2 and did not face any backaches or any sore joints throughout the journey. In fact I did the Pune to Nagpur journey continuously with only taking bio brakes in order to save on time and even after driving 11 hours straight I was not feeling exhausted or fatigued.

Really happy with the purchase and planning to add more Km's with new trips - planning a Pune - Rajasthan - Pune trip in Feb.

Cheers !!

Wow, a fuel efficiency of 19.2km/l is quite good for a petrol engine. The new light weight platform and the K Series engine is quite a good combination. Can you also tell how the high speed stability is considering the car is quite light. Does it jump around too much on higher speeds in not so even roads?

Is there any kind of problem with the drum brakes. I got a call saying that company is replacing the drum unit with the new one.

First I thought it was a fake call but when I contacted my dealership it was actually the case.

Has anyone else got a call like this.

This sounds like a silent recall. Have you received any mail regarding this?
Did they specify why the drum unit has to be changed?
