Re: Next Generation Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire Launched

With all such issues coming up, I dont think it will take much time for the dashboard to start rattling. I suggest people who are looking to buy to wait for few months till all these issues get rectified.
What type testing MSIL has done before release. Shame on MSIL. Why manufacturers are releasing car without proper testing.
This is not the first time MSIL has goofed up with a "new" product. When CIAZ was launched, a similar issue cropped up in it's clutch assembly. This is the reason why I never took first batch manufacture car/bike.

Our Indian market is only depend on so called brand value and not on product.

Rushes into the showroom and take deliveries even before single test drive.

We must have to change our mentality regarding this habit. (Sorry, no offence customers who already bought it)

We cant fully blame brands for this, specially Indian brands, not blaming India here but to be frank Indian car assembly team is far from perfect, and since mass manufacturing is done here, there is high possibility of humane errors and this could happen to anyone, like every software has a BETA phase , and with time updates are what makes them perfect, same way with cars I believe first batches are kind of prone to such issues, it solely depend on luck or bad luck of customer.

Re: Next Generation Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire Launched

As maruti Manesar plant has been shut down till 18th, my dealer is saying that the car will be dispatched by 19th and I will get the delivery of it in another 3-4 days.
Now my car is not really dispatched from maruti then I think the issue will be rectified at the factory only, am I right?
Also when I talked about the status of my car, the assistant GM told me its not arrived yet. So how do I confirm that has the car arrived at dealership or is it in the factory only, I mean what papers confirm the dispatch date of the car?

Sir BETA version is only good for IT sector not for other sector [confused]. And I am not against any brand. I was fully satisfied owner of Wagon-R (1,20,000 km, sold).

Humane errors always possible in any brand but what I am talking about QA/QC department of Maruti.

I am only saying in my post that never too hurry in any car of any brand at least as a petrol-head. There always be some possibility of defect.

Maybe the car will be rectified of the present issue buddy. It might be delayed in dispatch from plant but by now as the car has been allotted to you can ask for the VIN number. With that VIN you may visit the stockyard of dealer and check if the vehicle with that VIN is present there or not. The date and time are mentioned on the retrieval sticker pasted on the front windshield of the car. The sticker is like this buddy as attached:

Excellent info, I have cross checked my car transit time, dispatch date etc in the same way. We can ask for PDA report by stockyard more details available in there.

In Bangalore near Dasbhaspet at Tumkur MSIL owns huge stockyard. It is the stockyard for the most of the south India. All the cars will come in train up to Tumkur then stocked at Dabasphet company owned Stockyard. Dealers have to pay full amount to MSIL after that cars sent to respective dealer in trucks. Few dealers offered me directly doing PDA at MSIL stockyard but you can not reject the car if found something wrong. You can reject at dealers stock yard if you found something wrong I have rejected four cars at two different dealers.

Nice info mate. But the issue is that as the plant is currently shut they don't have any information about VIN or the chassis number .
When I got informed about it I asked it with the higher authority (assistant GM to be precise) and her answer was also the same that they only get the VIN number when the car is in transit and hence she cannot tell the it.
She confirmed me that my car is ready to be dispatched and as soon as the plant opens, she will confirm me the delivery date.
Now I think something is fishy here. If my car is ready then how come they don't know the VIN? Also as the plant is currently close how can she confirm that the car is ready?
Now what I think the matter is that they will try to give me a car which is opened at there dealership. Now why I am thinking this is because of the above questions. How come she know that my car is ready? What do you think mate?

Nice info mate. But the issue is that as the plant is currently shut they don't have any information about VIN or the chassis number .
In the first week of every new month the dealer sends booking data to company and a fresh lot of cars are allotted to the dealer based on the bookings received in previous month.

When I got informed about it I asked it with the higher authority (assistant GM to be precise) and her answer was also the same that they only get the VIN number when the car is in transit and hence she cannot tell the it.
The details are sent by company to dealer as soon as the car is allotted to the buyer. If I am correct, you booked your car after about 10 days of launch. So if in May end you have booked it, then now it's June mid and the cars that were pre-booked(prior to launch) have started to get delivered already. So, I don't think allotting a car is that big a deal. The dealers often don't share VIN easily. It happened with me also but I eventually managed to get the same and inspected the booked car and on the spot rejected it as well. The dealers shy away because they try to push a pre-launch manufactured unit in early months. BTW, which dealer you are dealing with? If you feel its OK, then PM me the details so that we both can speak and sort the issue with the dealer.

She confirmed me that my car is ready to be dispatched and as soon as the plant opens, she will confirm me the delivery date.
How come? If she can't give VIN, how come she knows that? How is she sure that your car will be in transit on 19th once the plant opens?

Now I think something is fishy here. If my car is ready then how come they don't know the VIN? Also as the plant is currently close how can she confirm that the car is ready?
That's all crap she is talking. Just avoiding you so that you don't go and check out the vehicle prior to delivery.

Now what I think the matter is that they will try to give me a car which is opened at there dealership. Now why I am thinking this is because of the above questions. How come she know that my car is ready? What do you think mate?
They plan to push either a pre-launch batch unit to you or a defective unit or may be a car for which the sales didn't go through. Don't opt for any excuse. Ask for VIN, Do the PDI and then only go ahead with payment.

PS: If you need any help, feel free to contact me buddy. I'll be happy to assist you in best possible way.

If it would have been with dealer, He would have called you 3 times a day for taking delivery or complete payment formality. As dealers have to pay the amount fully to company before car arrives in dealer stockyard. And the GM is telling as they have put the indent for the car to the company and hoping that the car will be dispatched as per the expectations and past history. Currently dispatch is going on for south and states which are far from Haryana. NCR dispatch will start in the week of 19th. Which dealer you have booked through and in what date?

Even if 1% the car is yet to arrive at dealer, yet, they will be having the VIN of the same if the AGM is so sure that the car is ready for dispatch. And no matter what, from Manesar to Delhi or Noida, no ways it takes 4 days or once the car is in stockyard, the dealer won't wait for 4 days either for delivery. In both scenarios the dealer is making a fool of customer.

1) If the car is not yet allotted, how is she passing wrong info to the customer?

2) If the car is ready for transit, why is she not sharing the VIN? VIN reaches the dealer as soon as the car is allotted to the customer.

The car is not alotted for sure. She is just buying time.
Don't expect it to be allotted on 19th itself. It takes a day to arrive in ncr. Then dealer pdi at stock yard, Payment formalities and delivery takes 3-4 days

That means she doesn't deserve to be at such a important designation in her dealership and secondly lying to the customer is never acceptable from any brand.

I understand buddy. But if she says that the car is ready and quotes a time of 3-4 days after arrival then why is she not giving VIN? Fine, the buyer will go and inspect once the car is in stockyard but in meantime as the right of customer, he should be given the VIN to check the manufacturing date of the car.

@Vicks619 and @Akash1886
I booked my car on 1st of may( before the launch) so I am damn sure that they are definitely trying to sell me a defective car.
Dealership: TR Sawhney motors mohan nagar(it was the closest to my house)
So this means that the car is still not allotted to us or they are really trying to fool me here.
