Re: Next Generation Maruti Suzuki Swift & Dzire Launched

I would say even reviewers have their own opinion, like I loved the Fiat Punto driving experience, but I liked Figo even better than Punto which a lot of people cannot digest, reason is that Punto has superb steering and brakes and chassis was super stiff, but the weight played the big foul, the car had too much nose dive and the body roll was way too much that it spoiled a lot of what the Fiats sweet steering and brakes and feel had to offer, the gearbox too was a big let down to me, on the other hand the Figo which didnt have the insane steering of Fiat, brakes of Fiat felt far more like a balanced package, like it balanced everything in Figo is 80-85% Fiat good but the bad parts of Fiat like gearbox, roll etc was way better contained and car felt lighter on feet compared to Punto,
SO overall I felt the Figo is better than Punto, but many will disagree with me,
So I cant say all reviews are sugar coated because a lot of people has variety opinion
Regarding new Figo 1.2P vs Swift 1.2 K series too the same happened, a lot of people said new Figo has lost its roots etc, but I felt its still under control, its lost its super tight feel but has a more commuter friendly feel but with less playful nature, The old SWift was bloody awesome to drive ie the 1.3 petrol, the 2nd gen with 1.2 was good and the current one too is very good but I wouldnt say the SWift is better than new Figo or vice versa, both get equal scores in my book in terms of driving fun, which is surprising because the old Figo was like ages ahead of anything Maruti has ever given to Indian market but new one has come down to a SWift level which is what I say class benchmark.

Re: Next Generation Maruti Suzuki Swift & Dzire Launched

Hi everyone,

I am from Pune. I was on a lookout for a car in the range of 6-7 lacs. Being my first car , I had read almost all reviews of all the cars in that price range. Myself being 6, 2" space was the most important criteria.

Took test drives of Aspire (D), Figo(D), Swift(P) , Baleno (P), Tiago (P), Tigor (P), Zest (P), and DZire (P).

Post test drives the cars which I really liked were:-
1) Figo D - Amazingly fun to drive spoiled by a notchy gear box.
2) Zest - Amazing car but still have the Tata fear in my mind.
3) Tigor is a good car but 2 things made me remove it from the list was the distance of the service centre from my place ( literally other end of the city) and lack of long term ownership reports.

So finally booked DZire (P) VXI before launch and then took 4 test drives on different routes to get a feel of the car. I know it was a risk but I am really happy the way it turned out. 2 things I didn't like about the new DZire is all the chrome bits in the front ...looks garish and the ground clearance...I think they should have kept it at 170 mm.

Hopefully will be getting delivery by 1st -2nd week of June.

Regards,
VK

Has anyone got the delivery for the new DZire?
Saw one in my lane yesterday, chances are , I might know the owner
White colour ZDI variant

Very appealing car to see in person
Bit low like my ANHC

BW, not sure how you can fit yourself in DZire. Have you checked KUV100 or TUV300. That would good for you as per your height.
Cheers

I just got to sit in the new Dzire
Im 6" 3, no issues at all. Its just short of my Honda city
Found it more comfortable than Tigor etc too but a bit lower

KUV and TUV have poor legroom but good height for tall people
Driving position of KUV and TUV is very odd for me

Checked out the new dzire at mycar pune showroom. Totally disappointed with the internal build quality and cheap plastics used. External build quality is still ok. Plus , I didnt quite like the broad front design of the car. I am going to give this one a miss. I really liked the tiago/tigor design but cannot take the risk due to the miserable tata A.S.S .

Re: Next Generation Maruti Suzuki Swift & Dzire Launched

Thanks for the suggestion mate. I took 4 test drives of the car on different routes. I was very comfortable in both driver as well as passenger position. The leg room at the back is really good.

I had driven KUV 100 around Jan, didn't like it. TUV is a good car but a friend of mine has it and his constant cribbing about issues with the car has kept me miles away from Mahindra showroom.

Spoke to the showroom guys and my waiting list no is now 2 so keeping my fingers crossed.

Re: Next Generation Maruti Suzuki Swift & Dzire Launched

Hey guys,
My SA is giving genuine maruti suzuki parking sensor and reverse camera with a display at 13K. I came to know that it the genuine Maruti Suzuki one is a lot cheaper and is same for all variants including the new Dzire. Is it true?

Also what will be some other options which can cost cheaper without voiding the warranty? My variant is new Dzire VXI.

S.K Wheels Andheri or the other one in Khar I think, those are the only ones closest to my location
I know the owners son who was kind enough to let me check out the car
His father bought and took delivery but is out of the country at the moment so he doesnt know which dealer exactly

There are two models. One camera is with screen fitted in the dashboard. That costs 8490/- for the camera only and 10990/- with the parking sensor. Another is there called IRVM park assist with a screen that fits on the irvm that costs 9990/- but that is without sensor. That also can be fitted only in the Ciaz or Brezza and not any other car. The cam with dashboard screen is not too good. No guidelines. Its better to settle for aftermarket products. I just fitted the first model in my swift and I am not satisfied.

Mine is not fitted on the dashboard either. It's attached to the window using a suction cup at the passenger side. Wiring is done such that it can be easily seen going at the back of the car.

Also I did not like the camera quality, and to add to it, it has no guidelines. That too for 13k.

So my main accessories which I am thinking to buy are reverse camera with sensor and front fog lamps.

So where should I buy them in Delhi-NCR?

It will be behind the rear seats just behind the rear window.

For baleno it can be installed on the rear Chrome line on the boot.
