Hello Friends,

Been a while since i have updated the thread.

Had a long Drive to Medak [my Father's Hometown  Said so as in 27 Years of my lifetime i never been there. This was my first visit]

And covered altogether ~ 300 KMS. While to Medak (5 On Board) and while back to HYD (6 Onboard). And the journey was fun. Took my son there for his First Head shave ceremony. Drive was mix of some pretty good roads and insanely bad roads & Potholes.

Returned a Healthy average of 20.4 KMPL on MID.

A day before in Advance Got the Whole Floor Matting installed, Steering Cover & Custom stitched Seat covers. Attaching the pics.

Whole floor matting is doing its job great. People getting in and out of the car with muddy foot wear and that made it look messy. But just few wipes with Damped cloth made it look NEW again. Wonder Mat to keep the car new always from the inside. And this covered from the front end of the car all the way till the end of the Boot.

Steering cover is of superior quality and they did Double stitching that left no gaps and it looks perfectly tight fit without any puny gaps.

Seat covers - We chose the Material and the quality is superb. My Brother [evil] did intense stress testing by Pinching, scratching & poking the material and it handled all of em' effortlessly and not even a wrinkle. The order was placed and the guy started to stitch the seat covers. Took over an Hour for him but the end result came out perfect. The fitting was deep and didn't really look like after market covers. Good thing was there was a layer of Foam glued by default at the backside of the leather (Not real ofcourse) even before an extra layer of Foam was added.

Steering Covers - 450
Seat covers - 5000
Floor Waterproof Matting - 1500
Wax & Shine Car Shampoo - 200

Total - 7150

After Discount - 6400. (This is the same shop on SD Road that i got my ICE installed from).

Below are few snaps i took from my iPhone in sleepy mood. Sorry will make sometime after 1st service and do a proper photoshoot.

Sorry about the quality as the car was not cleaned and there was dust gathered all over the glasses took the pics from outside some of them.

Cheers. Will post more pics on this SAT or SUN.

Done with the 1st Service last week.

Nothing specific, just checked the Oil level's and did a quick wash. Total bill came to 101/- (for refilling the Wind shield shampoo).

Apart from that, i don't really have any issues with the car& engine. Again had couple of long drives and as expected performed really well. Average was between 18.9 - 20.4 KMPL for these trips. I am expecting it to go higher after next couple of services.

Just one issue and its killing me. Rain + Highway + Stupendous OEM bulbs almost giving me Blind situation to drive. I literally cannot see anything that's coming from the opposite direction. [Tried High/low beam variations, different seating positions, wiper speeds, even the Front wind shield is perfectly clean] Unable to understand how to tackle this. Now nearly scared to drive at night under heavy Rain.

Experts please help.

Low powered headlight might be a reason for this. Change to 100/90 Philips bulbs installed with wiring kit. You will notice considerable difference.

Yes... Ritz known for insufficient light due to it's head light design.

Upscaling the bulb wattage may help, but for that you may need to change the bulb holder, If you are opt for any extended warranty make sure it doesn't get void due to modification.

101/- for Wind shield shampoo ? Isn't it 15/- per pack ? How many they provide ?
---------

I need to ask, do your car variant comes with this feature which, the 4 door locked automatically when the car starts moving (driving) in certain speed ? Is this feature comes in stock condition ?

Or you need to lock all 4 door by pressing the switch from driver door each time ? Can you confirm ?

Did you install any security system (after market one) in your car ? If yes is that system enables you to key less entry ?

-------------
Mine is Ritz VDI (Normal One) and it never locked if the car starts moving, Every time I need to do it manually (or instruct driver) by pressing button on the Driver Door.

As well when car unlock by inserting the key at driver door all 4 door get unlock..no way to unlock the driver door only. And the Owner Manual don't help either, Everything MS put in there by tagging (if Equipped) & they don't actually mentioned no where at manual which version get exactly what feature.

Now I need a Ritz VDI owner to check, No one at my locality even owned Ritz only one Swift VXI & he got that feature by default.
Now I don't know even this function is in my car or it just not working. Showroom & Workshop guys are worthless.

Hi Arjitb,

Well yes i have installed the after market remote locking system. As this option u mentioned comes by default only in Zxi/Zdi variant. In Vxi/Vdi u can lock manually by pressing central lock button on driver side door.

By installing after market Remote locking u can get options/features like Auto lovk after car reaches speeds like 20 KM/hr, Unlock all door after u turn off the ignition/remove key, Auto lock incase u did not attend/open doors in 10-15 seconds after u press unlock button on Remote key, Alarm, Car finding blinkers in parking lot. And all these options are customisable in terms on Time (10 sec, 15 sec's variations for each fucntion as per your need)

Yes, VDI comes with manual central locking only. I have installed Nippon remote locking in my car from MGA where the doors get locked after 20 seconds of starting the car and get unlocked one ignition key is turned off. If I have to unlock the car while engine running, then I need to do it at driver side unlock manually and relock it[:)]

Thanks for the confirmation levronstyle212, It killing me from last week when I met the new Swift VXI owner at my locality and his false claim.

Thanks Gurrala74 for the confirmation...Now I relived.

Since the Day of the delivery of the Car, I try my level best to opt the Nippon MGA Security System for my car but the Acc. Dept at my Dealership worthless POS.
They can't even source 1 piece Security system for my car.

I made at least Hundreds of Phone Calls for past 2 months at showroom/service center & in return only listen their trained voice to handle customer by providing assurance.

On 13th Aug they informed me over phone, my desired security system ready to install, rush there with car on 14th afternoon. Upon reaching two installation guy start peeling the Door Panel but later they discovered that particular system not compatible with 'V' version, It designed to fit only 'L' version.

Some of them at Acc.Dept start commenting like 'Sir your car got inbuilt security system, just need to press the button at the key', when I gave them the key they comment, it installed at near Battery, you need to enable it from there. [confused] [confused] . After a long debate they agreed there another version of security system exists for the 'V' variant and they are going to order it for me.

And since then, I only got modest assurance over phone, It is real inconvenience to leave the car in any parking lot and walk away.

Arijitb,

My advice is speak to the Service manager at ur nearest A.S.S and get it installed immediately. If they still cannot provide u with the product u needed. Just note down the Make & Model of the Remote locking system they usually sell that fits ur car (like Nippon) and come to an agreement with them that u get the system and they install it for you. Ofcourse they will charge labour for it.

This worked with some of my friends for different accessories, just make sure they agree to do it before you buy anything outside.

Reason this works is Maruti/Suzuki will not manufacture these accessories. They just choose a Brand/Vendor give a couple of checks and give a stamp as MGA. And this is where dealer makes big margins. As your dealer is unable to provide u the so called MGA product u get the same stuff outside BUT get it installed in A.S.S so that they won't trouble u with their tricks later about warranty void.

P.S: i ve installed all my accessories outside dealer network (without cutting any wires, using extra sockets - i personally was present there while them installing each of em')
And made sure with dealer about it after purchasing the car and before going for after market stuff. end of the day all depends on how customer friendly ur nearest A.S.S is.

@Arjith

That is one bad experience from the dealer. Try and speak to local Maruti people about the same.

For remote central locking and power windows, I strongly recommend to go with MGA than outside market[:)]

Hello Friends,

Need your help here.

My Bumper guards that i purchased in accessories shop came off literally. Both at the back and i am sure in short period of time front one's too will peel off. Again, that's not the problem here. Looks like they had some cheap double sided tape that came along. And while these Rubber made bumper guards dropped off they left insane looking stains on my car's Bumper.

I have tried to get it off with Diesel, Nail polish remover as i have read most of the Sticker Residue/Stains will come off using these solvent products. But none of them worked.

This is more like a Stain then a Adhesive residue and i ran out of ideas.

Would really appreciate if someone can guide me through on how to get rid of these stains. When i touch the bumper i don't feel any extra layer or rough bumps that you'd experience if there was any sticky adhesive.

Below are couple of pics to give you an idea. That look is killing me.[anger]

Removing the residue followed by light rubbing should do the job.

@levron

A lesson to learn here is not to buy after market side beedings are bumper guards. I did the same mistake and they came off just like that and went to the same shop complaining the same and he fixed again with the new set and they came again within no time and left with the gum marks. Then went to MGA got the side beedings fixed from them and at that time they carefully removed those gum marks without hurting the paint finish.

So my suggestion would be visit a Maruti service and take their assistance for the same and get the bumper guards from them and fix.[:)]
