I bet this one will not come here now because facelift spy shots indicate different thing!!
Yeah. I wish they would bring the Wagon R in the above pictures. Though boxy, it still looks attractive to me. But they're launching an Estilo-ish version, with a silly smiling grille, which is not to my liking at all. Even the picture given by Autocar India in this month's issue is very disappointing. if to believe pictures shared by motorbeam, this new wagonR would have much better rear seat space and comfort, and lesser of boot space as third quater glass is cutted off from old model, which looks like a good thing.

Exact my thoughts. I wonder when Maruti Suzuki is testing the Wagon-R Facelift which has been spotted quite a few times and all we’ve seen it too, Launch of this complete refreshed model (in above picture) is highly doubtful. So question is who spread the rumor of this as new Wagon-r?

Well, there are Japanese variants of the Wagon R, some China models, and of course whatever is happening in India.
Some pics when leaked will always have a better response in India if called the New Wagon R from Maruti.
I guess that could be the reason we are seeing so many "variants"!!

Rendering of New Wagon-R

Check this out, The one in above picture isn't going to be the new Wagon-R. I found this rendering of upcoming Wagon-R with K-Series Engine and minor touch up on face in Autocar India Magazine (Pg.25).

Maybe they are lazy enough to design new models and hence just giving a touch up to current ones? But on serious note, this doesn't looks "pathetic" to me, Yes the front design has been influenced by Estilo which I don't really prefer much but I liked the fresher feel which is nice, at least than the one which is displayed above it in small box!

They are working on new engine and code named YP3.

Maruti has already started procuring components for YP3, to be fitted in these two cars by year-end. The new engine will have two variants with two cylinders and three cylinders for Alto and Wagon R, respectively.

I think there is some mis-information floating around.
The K series engine is available in the 1.0, 1.2 and the 1.4 lit variants so far.
I am sure the K-Series to be fitted on the Alto will be the 1.0
For the F Series, they anyways have a pretty sweet .8L already running.

It probably will be the 1.0 litre K-series for the Alto. But it is to be expected next month,Thats cause the euro 4 will come into force and I dont think that the 0.8 litre 3 pot engine can be made to be euro 4 compliant nor will it be that easy to do so.. So it has to be in April. What do you think?
