I think oil change is voluntary means if you wish too change you can . Btw what does the manual say ? Carry the manual with you and strictly follow what it's writeen there car makers who make their engines know it better then us . And always carry the manual with you so the services guys dot take you for a ride by not doing what is mentioned and doing something which is not required and not mentioned in the manual and simply charging you without any reason.
In all probality your bill must be zero (anda)
he has a diesel and i think he will be charged for something maybe diesel filter. i'm not sure but but i think bill won't be zero.

and i didn't know oil change is optional [thumbsup]

at first service they just check if all's well [:D]

+1. But I think oil change is chargeable, if it has to be done.
yes every oil change is chargeable. the free service coupon is just normal checkup and free washing and cleaning of the car.

Hi all
I checked the Manual and nothing is written if oil change/filer change is mandatory or voluntary [surprise]. Now lets see what do the dealership bill me. [glasses]
And if anybody can give some concrete info by evening i will be obliged since oil change will cost me at least 2000 Rs . If it not required i wont change it

Ask swift owners they might tell you perfectly .
If you can change the oil of course they will charge you in ertiga I think it's 10,000 Kms .
How much Kms have you done on the car so far? In all probality I think it will be just a check up nothing else .

Hi
Just got hold of a circular issued by maruti regarding oil change. New oil is very expensive at 4400 per 4 ltr and will increase maintainence cost hugely . [anger]
Good point is engine oil change is only required at 10000km , thats the 3rd service at end of first year [:)]
View attachment 59206
See I told you it must be synthetic oil hence expensive but it needs to be changed and long intervals unlike the mineral oil . now if you can take the copy of that circular along with you and also the manual will be always better remember when you are prepared the service guys won't take you for a ride.
Btw why are not posting pictures of your ride we want some more pics buddy common bring it on buddy .[:)]

from which reliance outlet you purchased all this ?

check this out for details. don't underestimate the wax. use wax in small quantities or else it'll be difficult for you to rub it off

http://www.theautomotiveindia.com/f...dai-verna-fluidic-1-6-vtvt-22.html#post168348

since your car is new , there's no need for wax but if you are willing to apply wax , it'll do no harm and the car will look sexy because of the water beading [;)]

how much you got that dry clean ? and i don't know how to use this [confused] so see the back of the bottle and update how to use it.

and dashboard liquid , whenever you think dash's looking dull just apply it [;)] don't apply too much or the dash reflection on the front glass won't let you see anything in front of you.

Vaibhav it will look not good and very silly [anger] . Instead you can do 1 thing which my freind has done with his swift he has written diesel inside the fuel lid so once you open the fuel lid you can see diesel written at the back side of the lid understood buddy ? Blackening the lid will just take the show away of your car and anyway you need to be always attentive at the fuel station on what and how much the put in you car even if you have Katrina Kaif siting next to you in the car [lol]

I think the diesel letters in black sticker would do the job, or as Raja said its better to stick inside the fuel lid.

I would suggest not to blacken the fuel lid. You will get alphabet stickers in any stationery shop or from a number-plate making shop. Just use them.

Since your car is white. Do not try anything odd on it !!

Just get a D sticker in RED color with any radium sticker fellow and paste it on the LID CAP. It will fit perfectly and gives good show to the car from that side and since it is in RED so any fuel station fellow will never miss-it and fill petrol !!

My car is due for service this week. Can anybody tell me whether Engine Oil will be changed in 1st service or The total bill will be 0? Anything in particular which i should i take care of ?
The bill is usually zero on the first service. Refer to the owner’s manual. It has details on what is supposed to be changed on each service.

Carry the manual with you and strictly follow what it's writeen there car makers who make their engines know it better then us .
The manual must be kept along at the time of initial services to avail the free service coupon.

yes every oil change is chargeable. the free service coupon is just normal checkup and free washing and cleaning of the car.
The ‘free’ service translates into ‘free’ labor only. Everything else is chargeable.

Total Bill= 70 rs ( Miscellaneous charges+ Wiper shampoo)
Good that the bill was negligible. You could have also saved that Rs.70 by not getting the washer fluid (Not required in my view). I always do that.

Drive Safe,
