Pendrive had some videos on it so tried to play them on the infotainment system. Works flawlessly.
Parking brake needs to be engaged in order to see the video or else only audio is played.

Crossed 1400 kms. From now on will take out the car daily.

"Safety escort headlamps" are really useful in these scenarios. If the setting is at auto , headlamps turn on as soon as the car is unlocked.
Headlamps stays on for 10 seconds after locking the car and many times people have reminded me to turn them off.

Does this car has child seat anchors in the rear seat? I don't see them in the brochure.

It should have since the manual says the same. If it was available in some car variants then if equipped would have been written.

Anyways will post pics of the rear seat.

Thank you. I think manual is talking about Child Seats we need to buy not the actual Child Seat Anchors on the car. I am evaluating Elantra SX(O) AT but very surprised child seat anchors missing from the list. These days City and Ciaz have this. Let me also verify with the dealer contact as well.

Some asshole stole the wipers [frustration] why the **** will you steal wipers. I used the wiper and all i got was metal noise scratching the windshield.
Bought a new set. This is a local brand manufactured near my home only. Bought them for 600rs. Let's see how they perform.

Which moron did that ?Stealing wipers[anger]

You can override the parking brake locked multimedia playback.
Remove the stereo unit ,you can find one cable mentioning parking brake itself (May be written PB),remove that ,and just earth it back to any of the metal body of the head unit ,check youtube for it.

Currently in mussoorie. Car is really good to drive on highways , very low noise creeps in the cabin , suspension is really good. No thud sounds whatsoever. Not encouraging but the car feels planted and comfortable at tripple digit speeds ( didn't take the car above 120 kmph) stayed within 90-100kmph for most of the highway driving. Mid showed 15.7 kmpl on highways with good roads. The route that i had taken was extremely bad at some places. Mileage dropped to 14 kmpl on those roads.
Filled petrol in dehradun and the mid showed 8 kmpl while going uphill without ac. The weather was amazing.
Turned on the ac since it started raining and it got tiring. I thought the elantra is going uphill better than the verna but it was only because the ac was turned off.
Had to downshift to 1st and 2nd on various turns to get the car going. It was even harder to accelerate after crossing pothole ridden roads. Big petrol engines are not fun to drive on mountains. Not at all. IMG_20170809_233943.jpg

The mid figure after crossing bad roads. The figure resets at every tankful but only after the car is driven.

Another thing ,driver seat is really uncomfortable. I will get the seat covers as soon as i reach delhi. My lower back was hurting for the entire trip no matter how i set the seats. Dad and mom didn't complaint about the rear seats.

Beautiful Fog There!
Petrols suffer on Ghats due to poor low end torque. Keep the engine boiling and it should'nt be a problem.

That's a well thought out feature. I have to manually reset it after every tank full.
It happens in verna too. Checked it today.

Also i would like to clear something about the car's performance on steep slopes.

The car suffers to go in 2nd gear after crossing potholes. The MID also suggests to downshift to 1st.
Car goes effortlessly even in 3rd gear if i dont apply brakes. Just a little tap on the brake pedal and the car will struggle.
