Hi memebers....I am planning to get a brio in first week of january. I want to book the car in december only and take delivery in january. Now the dealer is saying that he is having s mt blue (which I have opted for) already in stock and he is telling ne to pay the booking amount now and take delivery in january. Now he has quoted a price of 5.26 onroad including ew and rsa. I havent bargained on the accessories front yet which I will do on the day I will go to him for paying the booking money.
Now I am having doubt that if he is trying to sell me a car which is in stock with him for a long time or may be defective one. I am not interested in resale value of my car. I only need a fresh car and not inckined towards a jan 2014 manufactured unit.
Plz guide ne how should I deal with the dealer and what accessories should I bargain for??

As suggested by other members, get the VIN and decode it before you make any payment.
I would recommend getting Jan 2014 manufactured car itself, rather than a Oct-Dec 2013 manufactured one.
Accessories front, boot protector, seat covers, rubber mats (not carpets as SA would say) & side garnish would be great.
Other freebie, extended warranty, 4yrs RSA & Insurance (Zero dep) would be deal breaker.
Push maximum for these before you make any payment, and get everything written in you order form.
All the best and keep us updated.
