This says it. It is a real performance oriented motor. A brilliant write-up buddy. Welcome to TAI and the Brio family
Thanks Ajay..I am so glad that I bought this car..

Brilliant summary bro! And congrats on your ride. Do start your ownership thread. Awaiting pics too!
Thanks 'bReeze AkA brIo'.. Thanks for your good-hearted suggestion too..
But I have the below opinion.
Will it not be good to post in the same 'Sudeep.Roy's thread' [which had such useful info] instead of creating a new thread... I mean why not centralize the info. Such a good car deserves a good thread and will it not be better if we donot scatter the info across different threads...

super congrats Vinay, do start a thread of your own :)
Thanks a lot Nitin..

Its better to have individual ownership threads, to sum up your experience, and for problems or queries to Brio, we have a common thread, wherein all owners could interact & be aware about the same.

Hi Sudeep,

Have you ever done wheel balance and alignment on your Brio. If so what is the cost and any idea about time interval?

Hi memebers....I am planning to get a brio in first week of january. I want to book the car in december only and take delivery in january. Now the dealer is saying that he is having s mt blue (which I have opted for) already in stock and he is telling ne to pay the booking amount now and take delivery in january. Now he has quoted a price of 5.26 onroad including ew and rsa. I havent bargained on the accessories front yet which I will do on the day I will go to him for paying the booking money.
Now I am having doubt that if he is trying to sell me a car which is in stock with him for a long time or may be defective one. I am not interested in resale value of my car. I only need a fresh car and not inckined towards a jan 2014 manufactured unit.
Plz guide ne how should I deal with the dealer and what accessories should I bargain for??

Selling a defective one should not be the case atleast I hope so. Meanwhile you can ask the VIN from the dealer and decode yourself the mnf date of the vehicle and also do the PDI before full payment. The exhaustive list of PDIs is already there in this forum.

Best of luck and warm wishes for your new ride and I am sure you will enjoy every covered miles [clap].

I just enquired for a Brio in Chennai and for the month of November they were offering Insurance free and in accessories they were giving a. rear sensor, seat cover, floor mats, mud flaps and Bluetooth. Plus on little more prodding they offered 3 gms gold coin.

I guess you could wait till December 2 week or so and see what the offers are for December by Honda for Brio and being year end you would get discounts probably better than November.

Negotiate real hard as you would be buying a 2013 manufactured car and you should get a sweet deal.

All the best!

As suggested by other members, get the VIN and decode it before you make any payment.

I would recommend getting Jan 2014 manufactured car itself, rather than a Oct-Dec 2013 manufactured one.

Accessories front, boot protector, seat covers, rubber mats (not carpets as SA would say) & side garnish would be great.

Other freebie, extended warranty, 4yrs RSA & Insurance (Zero dep) would be deal breaker.

Push maximum for these before you make any payment, and get everything written in you order form.

All the best and keep us updated. [:D]

Hi Friends,

I have decided to buy Honda Brio SMT in UT color, however in bargaining mode to get best deal out of it. The deal that I am getting is 4.85 lacs on road which includes 0 debt insurance, seat covers, door mats, cushion pillows & one time teflon coating.

Is it worth a deal to go ahead with the booking or is there any other scope of bargain?

Request other members to give their input.

Regards.

Congrats Anuj.

As Ajay mentioned, avoid Teflon and get something else which you would want to add into your kitty.

Awaiting an exhaustive review from your end.

Here we go..Finally I got my machine & from the initial driving experience, i am loving it & i am sure that I have made the right decision. [:D]. As expected, there are few smoothness issues with the gear lever & paddles however I hope it will get only better with more miles on the car. On coming weekend, planning to take it to long drive on highways. Let's see how it performs. more pics to follow. [clap]
