Thanks Sudeep and Santosh! [:)] Really appreciate it.
On another note, do you guys recommend 3M antirust and (UV)Paint protection? Did you get it done on your car/s?

Yep, those r the 2 things I got done for the car on a priority basis. Considering Mumbai's weather and also with the onset of monsoon, it's highly important to get these 2 coats applied.

You booked the car from Solitaire Honda??

Not yet. Anything to look out for with this particular dealer? Have been talking with Solitaire and Linkway. Don't know much about the rep of either. Where did you book your's from Santosh?

Hello Everyone ! ! ! ! !

I got the car delivered last to last week(friday) itself. I have covered more than 400 Kms .
(As I belong to Pune/ Hinjewadi) , You people might be aware of the traffic jam there . Even then I am getting a mileage of 14.5 kmpl (ac on) .

Now regarding sunfilm, I put sun films on door . Actually car dealer did this for me free of cost . Do I need to remove this or incase I keep this, do I have to pay any penalty ?

Thanks.

Will post the pics very soon . :)

Congrats on your new ride man. And you are getting awesome FE.
As per law Sunfilms are illegal. If the cops catch hold of you, you will have to pay a penalty of 100 bucks minimum.
Do upload a lot of pics.

Hey dude,

Sorry for the delayed response.

We booked our Brio from Solitaire Honda (Andheri W) as it's quite close to our office. We had paid the booking amt in Oct'11, but due to nature's fury in Thailand, we got the deliver in Apr'12. The patience was well worth it.

As for the dealership, its was quite a pleasant experience. We didnt get any freebies from the dealer then as Brio was unleashed as a hot property from Honda's stable (or maybe am a sucker at bargaining) [;)]

I'd suggest you to buy the car either from Solitaire (Andheri outlet, specifically) or Linkway Honda. Their professional standards are noteworthy. Compare & go with the one who gives you the best offer & freebies as well.

I'd definitely recommend Brio ..& not just cos I own it, but cos it's wayy better than the ones you are trying to compare it with [;)]

Jokes Apart. You'd have garnered adequate & valuable knowledge abt the Brio from Sudeep's thread. In terms of the FE, after clocking 1300kms (in 2 months), it gave me an average of 24.8 on the highway (5th gear thru almost 70% of the highway run, AC on blower 1, Speed 60-65kmph). In the city, u'll easily get an avg of around 14-15. Finally, it depends on how you drive and the traffic conditions as well.

Low end torque is a tinge low, but not so much that it becomes a noticeable inconvenience, but that's to carve out the mileage, imagine Santosh getting close to 25KMPL!![surprise]

Yes, my tyres are 14" good year, 175/65 .

Test drive all the three options that you are considering and then make a well informed decision.

Hey Guys,
I have noticed one unusual thing in my Brio. the AC switch becomes bit hot (not damn hot [:)] ) after running AC for quiet sometime. since this is my first car i don't have any old comparisons, is it normal ? any worry to be shown to service center?

Hey John,
Do you mean the AC On/Off Push Button? Is it just the button or the surrounding area?
Haven't noticed anything like this.

And my Cars AC is on 100 % of the time.

However, will double check and update. And why so many "....." ?

Oops sorry for the so many ".." its my writing style while on chat, will take care now.
Yes I meant AC On/OFF Push button. Its just the button and not any surrounding areas.
I guess that heat is due to the Green LED which is lit all the time, but wanted to confirm.

Yea, the AC On/Off button does tend to heat up a bit. Have noticed that on a few occasions, tho not all. I dont think it's a major cause of concern. If you are apprehensive, bring it to the notice of the associates during the next servicing.

Installing Autocop in the car today. Got an appointment for installing the gear-lock tomorrow. More updates on these 2 elements by Saturday.

The body colored side-protectors (running thru the length) are not available in the market, as per the dealer. Double checked on that. Has a waiting period of 10-12 days.

The FE figure's quite mercurial, tho not at all worrying. In bumper to bumper traffic it plummets down to 10-12. On the highways, the car sports a figure between 20-24.
KMs clocked so far : 1350.

During the 1st service (May'12), the car had clocked some 300-odd kms. Honda has suggested a service in Aug'12 (paid). With the car just clocking 1300-odd kms, is it necessary to give it for servicing?? I dont think any of the oils need to be changed till 5k Kms atleast which might be done during the 2nd (officially free) service. . which is due in Oct'12.

Kindly suggest.
