I think its a good deal since even Swifts zDi costs around the same ,
Under body protection and engine guard are worthwhile upgrades, gives a lot of peace of mind while tackling waterlogged roads and the ones with huge bumps,
Figos ground clearance will decrease to 165-168 mm with full load, and one of my friend with Aspire has reported a hit under the body while with 5 people on board, 4 adults 1 kid,

Yes!! Even swift VDI costs at 7.8 lac at our place.
Under body protection: ASAP I will take to 3M care for antirust coating.
Engine guard: Is it under body engine guard? or Front bumper engine guard?
If it is under body will there be any effect to air circulation through out the engine compartment to reduce temperature.
Ground clearance : I read some where around the news using an after market product can increase GC. Will there be any impact on performance or any other if used and what about warranty.

engine guard will cover the engine frol below and i dont think there will be any problem of air circulation since the front grille is sufficient.

from where will you buy the engine guard ?

ground clearance - those are called assistors and will stiffen the ride plus increase the GC. i am guessing but i think verna's GC should be lower than the figo's and the verna has scraped maybe once or twice. i dont think figo will scrap that easily even with full load.

@mike. Incidental Rs. 10000/- is attrocious. Fight for it. I got my 6250 waived off after a long fight. Contact Ford India and talk to Dheera or Zakheer. Very helpful guys. But i heard they have stopped waiving off handling charges from Nov bookings onwards. Anyways you fight. [glasses]

Never use SPACERS for cars, most spacers give better ground clearance but they spoil suspension and wheel alignment , its mechanically unproven how much damage it might incur but its sure to do harm more than help to car.

Figo has a really soft lower spring specially the rear spring, Verna too has this issue but somehow a Figo Aspire user has reported underbody scraping while taking a highway trip from Trivandrum to Kollam, there were 5 on board and though it wasnt a huge impact he said it might scratch again, he got out of car and checked the cars rear springs which he told was way more compressed than he thought of when there was 3 on rear seats, its just to be kept in mind that the 174 mm GC cannot save from all of our unscientific speed breakers and moon crater laden roads,
The Aspire with 5 on board gave 17.7 kmpl as overall mileage with 100 % AC and rain so mostly medium speeds of 60-80 kmph, the car is so much effortless to drive with that monstrous torque that even Cretas and Honda Citys were struggling to keep pace with Aspire, in short Aspire is an efficient diesel rocket.[:D]

Incidental charges are 15000/- now, earlier it was 10000/- I asked SA why the price is been changed. Reason he told to us is because of metallic colour [surprise] we have included in the incidental charges which we have missed in October quotation.
For being only one dealer he is playing like nothing.

Re: New Ford Figo Trend (Diesel): Ownership Review

@carguy Congrats. The choice of color is great.
BTW i booked Figo Titanium. Got a fair deal for exchanging my 2010 Chevy Beat that clocked 1,00,000 Kms. Got exchange bonus, free insurance, handling charges waived off and free essential kit sans leather tissue box. Got a good deal as me and my cousin booked Figo and Aspire Titanium together. I opted for Diamond White; all other cars at home being white. From our experience, Its comparatively easy to maintain a car in white, esp when you have body work.
hi
iam going to purchase a new figo, can you please tell me from which dealer you got that deal ?

Hi guys,

Its Raining Figo on TAI. Congrats to all the new and soon to be owners of figo.

Two Points I noted:

- Most of us are going for Trend. No wonder Trend is the hot selling model of the car.
- Everyone of us is fighting for the delivery charges. Good Practice.

Oh dear. What the hell?? Fight with Ford. Way too much. Even I faced same irritation with MPL Ford in Chennai. Later shifted to Chennai Ford and now peaceful so far. Hopefully will get hands on by Friday.
