Thanks Brother. I have informed the sales person about the missing cover for the IRVM and he has agreed to fix it in my next visit. I took delivery of the car day before yesterday this week. Ride quality of this car in City and On Highway has been just fantastic. For my initial run-in I am trying not to touch or cross 2K in the tachometer.

Your Welcome,

Thats good, awesome Congrats on your new buy, Have a loads and loads of happy and safe miles with it[:)], Yes ertiga has the best ride quality in city and on the highway the way the car tackles the speed bumps and pot holes is just mind blowing a awesome job by MSIL a hand full of applause from me[clap][thumbsup]. And yes for the first 1K Km you have to be careful with the revvs as this gonna decide your cars engine upcoming future. Even i won't prefer to take the car on a hilly roads till it completes its 1K km cause don't wanna make the engine strain a lot.

Can i get some pics of your car?

And do you like the Smartplay head unit?

How much km have you clocked on the ODO so far?

What is your tyre Brand?

I remember reading somewhere that these are the suction grills for rear AC units. If I am not wrong, the rear AC vents are located just behind these suction vents.

Regards,
Alpha
Oh, Thanks Bro I was really wondering what was that, You cleared it.

Your right in the direct opposite position is the location where the Rear A/C Vents come!

Yes Alpha these are AC air intake for 2nd row AC unit. when i look inside i found AC Evaporator Coils but no air filter like in main AC unit(& actually filter also not necessary for 2nd row AC as it take air from cabin only & that is already filtered by main AC). 2nd row AC have only cooling function & not heating.

Hi Praveen Bro,

Yes i Noticed that the 2nd Row A/C is Just a Blower unit. Cause when the Main A/C is not in use The second A/C Just Blows the air and it doesn't cool in that way i noticed that the 2nd A/C is just a blower unit to make the A/C Air reach till the 3rd Row. Maybe your model ertiga has a cooling function but mine is just a blower. Which is a bit of a sad thing. But in our usage the 2nd row A/C Barely gets used, Mostly the main A/C Is more than sufficient.

Hi FordFiesta1.6

Dear all variants of Ertiga except Ldi & Lxi having 2nd row AC with cooling coil, to check that when you start car switch On AC & keep air blower speed to 1 (minimum) & also on 2nd row ac at 1. main AC start giving cool air immediately & after 1 min 2nd row AC also start giving cool air as gas circulation will take time due to long pipe for 2nd row AC & don't worry your ertiga too have cooling coils [:D].

Thanks a lot for your good words . I was away for a while.

I'm yet to get my first service. I haven't got any additional accessories and planning to get noodle type floor mats and seat covers soon.

Couldn't manage time to get photos out of the camera/mobile. Will surely post some.

Till date I have driven around 400 odd kms. I am still getting used to the diesel engine in heavy City traffic - trying to keep the rev below 2000 rpm. I am comfortable with gear ratio which I feel is close to my 2006 Petrol WagonR. I am using the car mostly for my daily commute to office with a daily run of 40 kms. Average fuel efficiency reported by the car is 17.5kmpl with 25% AC on.

I like the SHVS start-stop-go in heavy Bangalore traffic. I noticed the SHVS icon on the driver console glows up during slowing down using engine and also during upshifting gear and accelerating.

I have got MRF Tyres as stock tyres on my Ertiga - overall I am happy with the road grip, braking and noise levels.

The smart play head unit is something which I am yet to explore and tweak. I have noticed that it is responsive and starts up fast after initial ignition. The sound quality at low volume is descent with good low frequencies bass but at higher volume the sound is not that great - I have JBL setup in my WagonR which sounds much better even at higher volume.

The in built GPS navigation and rear camera is good. Voice command is a hit or miss and hope it gets corrected in next SW upgrade.

Welcome bro, Actually 17.5 is an awesome mileage compared to mine as I was getting 16.8 Kmpl, Cause the car was new, I was yet exploring it. but soon when the car I started concentrating on the FE and more is currently at 20.6Kmpl which I feel is more than sufficient for a car of this size that too, inside city! And the SHVS really comes handy in these b2b and city traffic. And I too feel the same, the audio sound quality is good at low volumes but once it get high the bass get very powerful that it blows air on my feet and also blows my ears so prefer to keep.it in 2-4 volume. The navigation is a bit tricky but once we get used to it it's a easy to use feature, and talking about the infotainment system it's very intuitive and functional, one of the best audio systems that I've ever experienced. My car Came with a Goodyear Assurance tyres but I swapped the tyres within a day to Continental CMC (Conti Max Contact) 195 section tyres and am very happy that I changed. Waiting for the pics[:)]
