Yeah I thought It would have ended up in 180mm of GC Bro,

But in Ride Quality I feel it has improved than the stock spec tyres, One Question Will there be any problem technically regarding the 5mm Reduced tyre height?

But At the next tyre change will make it to stock spec.
There's no need. If you are not facing scraping problems under full load, 195 section tyres should be good. This is a very simple upsize (185 to 195) and you should keep it if there is no problem with the car's usability/behaviour.

This upgrade gives you -1% difference in overall diameter as compared to stock. Differences upto +/-2 or even 3% are permissible.

No Bro am Not facing any kind of scraping issue, And yes 195 Section Is the best suited one for ertiga than the 185, I said when i swap the tyres next time i will make it to the stocks 65 Height and the width is gonna be the same 195! No actually the car handles much better Than the stock, I Can Assure that the 195 Section Tyres are the best for ertiga's And its a Must needed upgrade, Thankfully i made it[:)]. And the Continental tyres are the best in current market!!!

Oh I See,

Yes it should have reduced the car's actual ground clearance, But Mostly 3-4 MM Wouldn't be much of an issue as the car's actual ground clearance is 185 MM!!

Yes its better to Upgrade the stock tyres with a 195 Section upgrade.. And it adds to the additional high speed grip. And am in love with these Continental CMC Tyres! They are soft enough and had more grip and the road noise is pretty much nil.. Compared to my stock tyres.

Thats good Go for it bro, Its an Complete VFM Package And the Granite Grey colour in Ertiga is an treat to see the car, But don't forget to Buy a Car Jopasu Duster to maintain! An dif you maintain the car well the colour would give you the shine for more than years and years...

Booked the car?

And any Details need to know about the car feel free to ask[:)]
No not yet booked the car. Will need to start the process.

Since you gave the liberty to ask any details here are some questions that I have [:D]

1. How is the ride quality in the middle seat. Is it bumpy for the middle seat passengers when you go over potholes or uneven surface? This is very important to me as I will be travelling with my family who will be seated in the middle seat.

2. The new Ignis has the same unit of Ertiga ZDI+ but it has support to Andriod auto. Will the ertiga also get Andriod Auto support?

3. Is the clutch too heavy for traffic conditions?

ride quality in middle row is best among three row, its on to softer side, suspension handles most of the bumpy roads & potholes easily. suspension is tuned to handle bad roads & not for sharp handling.

3. Is the clutch too heavy for traffic conditions?
No its not too heavy but it still feel heavy as compare to petrol cars.

Hi Vishi,

Its a good decision that you chose Ertiga, As its one of the best cars available in the current market,

And talking about the ride quality, Ertiga is the best in class the suspension is well tuned it feels cushion like feel to it when riding through pot holes and speed bumps. And i would say that you don't have to worry about the ride quality if you're buying a ertiga. So if you want some more grip and more soft ride quality swap the stock tyres to 195/65 R15 Continental tyres. This tyres not only increases the Soft feel but also reduces the Road noise significantly. Even in stock tyres the ride was so good and comfortable, I said this cause if you want more grip then you can swap your tyres to the same as i recommended[:)].

The Android auto is not available in my ertiga, But i hope maruti would have updated their smartplay unit cause they use the same unit for all cars.

Clutch is feather light in my car, feels extremely comfortable in B2B City Traffic, I Don't Feel it to be heavy, Maybe praveen bro, I think Its because our models Are different your model is the pre-facelift one and mine is a Face-lifted one maybe maruti would have made some changes.

Yes Bro, Third row is comfortable enough not so comfortable, but you won't feel uncomfortable too, Leg Room Is Adequate Under thigh support is also good compared to its rivals bounciness can be felt cause the rear tyres and suspension is placed right, by the sides of the third row, But only in speed breaker that to when speeds like 20 Kmph.

When Middle Row Seat is been adjusted for short to medium hieght adults i think the third row would be comfortable.

Hi Bro,

I bought the roof carrier from my local Accessories shop called RS Automotive Located near Race course road coimbatore, And Roof Carrier's like mine can be availed at some well established accessories shop, and the quality of the carriers are just phenomenal. And they're technical name is Rouf Rails. It Custom Bro if you give your car's paint sample to your accessories shop they'll Buy the roof carriers painted.[:)]

Congratulations @ Fordfiesta1.6 on your new ertiga purchase. Wish you many more happy miles to clock.

After going through your detailed review my heart fell in love with ertiga which I never considered at any point while purchasing New ford figo( though both being different league hatch & LUV).

But ford has spoiled in two ways one being positive and other being negative.

The positive : Power and mileage. I have not tried in any of my previous cars in this way so don't know whether they will return same FE's.
I used to drive in sedate manner (50-75km/hr : 2000-2500 rpm )and where achieved 31 kmpl highest (on highway) and least being 22kmpl (city). The above numbers are by tankful method.

The Negative : minor niggles and major issue - Minor some what can live considering above positive but the major one is being alignment issue which I am not getting proper solution from SC. Tomorrow is my last visit to SC.If it is not resolved it is a big let down for me for loosing this most powerful hatch which I have prepared my mind and started new car acquisition in advance and analysing between Suzuki ignis and vitara brezza.
Now confusion started by adding Ertiga to the list and this is happened because of going through your ownership review [:D]. Otherwise I would definitely missed this out. Thanks once again for this beautiful review.

Can we achieve good FE if I drive same sedate style in ertiga(SVHS).

Awesome Bro Thank you, Ford Is an Awesome brand for a car driving enthusiast, They are know for they're phenomenal Ride Quality and adjust both comfort and sporty ride handling in one single package, I know how it feels like cause i too own a Ford Fiesta 1.6 Duratec. Its very powerful and the power delivery Starts right from the 0Kmph, And the Response from each components from the car like steering, accelerator, Gear just works like a charm, you can easily figure out how much to give in throttle and steering inputs to get in return what you expect. and it will serve it just right. But as you said ford's After sales And service in India is the worst possible. But the car just makes you forget that so easily when you get behind the wheel! But definitely the after sales and service is a must point to have in consideration. In that case Maruti Comes in to every Indians mind when they think about the after sales and service, As Maruti's After sales and service experience is just A breeze to live with every time my cars goes for a service They Put a smile on my face. 100% Satisfying. And maruti's Ride Quality, and Built Quality is a thing that nowadays Comes Bigger and better IMO As We've Owned/Owning Nearly 4 Maruti Car's so far From 1995 800-2001 ZEN-2014 Swift-2016 Ertiga in every single car there is a development from maruti they go leagues ahead, And the one thing that never changed from maruti from then till now is The Easy Living in After sales/Service satisfactory, Reliability, Ride Comfort, Resale and Features.

And Now Coming to your Point: In which part you have alignment issue bro?

also in your list pls Delete Ignis as mostly NEXA's After sales is a waste, Even I've heard some bad buying experience from them too, Even My Friend's Have gone through some issue's When they Bought they're Baleno's. Better add Ertiga to the list that too, Ertiga Diesel ZDi+.

If you ask me Vitara Brezza or Ertiga I'll Still Stick with Ertiga As it's Space Comfort is Something that brezza can't stand with, Also I've test driven the Ertiga and brezza Back to Back, And what i found different in brezza from Ertiga was The suspension was so hard and the seat's have a bit of an bad cushioning so whenever i hit a Speed bump or a pot hole the entire car went up and down Even my swift was better compared to brezza in that case, in which ertiga went through like a breeze. Another letdown is the plastic quality its so hard and tough looking. And for the price you pay for a ZDI+ Dual Color Brezza You can Afford a Ertiga ZDi+ SHVS, I Know that the brezza has Auto A/C, Auto Wiper's And Auto Headlamps, But in ertiga You get More Space, More Comfort, Same 7" Smart play Head Unit, More Roomy Interiors, More Usable Spaces, A Small Mini Hybrid Technology and stuff like that.

Definitely If you are a light footed person you can definitely achieve the Recommend Mileage In Highways Which is 24.52Kmpl. So far using the SHVS Start/Stop Technology i got 20.5Kmpl Constant In B2B City Traffic. If you ask me how bad my traffic is for my daily travel from a place to home would be around 15-25 Mins With nominal traffic (one way) But in B2B Traffic It would Take Around 45-60 Mins. In that traffic too i got 20.5Kmpl. In Which i basically used to get 18.9-19.5Kmpl In my Swift.

Really is my Review that tempting to buy a ertiga? I just shared my real Feelings and experience about the car, Not Making the car's Small Little thing to be bigger, The car is Actually a beautiful Crafted machine Which can make you happy whenever you get into the car, In all seats not only behind the wheel, especially BEST FOR LONG JOURNEYS.....

but for the first few times the car may struggle in climbing hills as its never been through it but once it get used to it, Its again a breeze, Cause when i visited Pykara My car Initially struggled a bit then came back to pace Also saw nearly 5-6 Ertiga's.

Buddy Hope you got a clear answer and picture about the car.

Regards,

FordFiesta1.6

congrats on your new car. nice detailed review.

how is the headlights after upgrade.

have u upgraded your fog lamps or still in stock condition?
Good Bro, Works Just Right Not So Bright or so Low in Lighting, But Fog lamps are still in its stock planning for a upgrade.
@FordFiesta1.6, good post, I choose Ertiga over Brezza any day. Brezza for looks only, suspension not good, bad ride and handling.

-suryaputhra
Thanks Bro, Yeah Any day i'll also choose Ertiga Over Brezza, But In terms Of Looks, The Brezza projects a very SUV Like Aggressive look verses the ertiga gives a very pleasing, Elegant and Very Prominent Look And Stance. Yes the Brezza's suspension is so stiff where the high speed ride would be good and confident while in city it definitely would be a pain to be in as the small impacts do filter into the cabin and the seat's rock hard kinda cushioning doesn't help it too.
Hey Fordfiesta 1.6

Nice Write Up. [:)]

How did the new tires behave ? Is there a decrease in NVH levels after the tire change ?
Thanks Bro, Yes the Continental Tyres have made the ride even better than the stock, Like I've made a highway trip on both the stock goodyears and the upgraded continental tyres, The Grip levels have gone leagues ahead, The Ride and handling in high speeds is just phenomenal. the road/tyre noise has also reduced significantly right after swapping the tyres, and the steering felt so smooth to operate with the Continentals than the goodyears. Now car's engine sound has also starting to go down significantly. so overall its becoming a better and better ride and drive for me with the car[:)].

A Very Happy Customer of the trio Maruti Swift, Maruti Ertiga and Ford Fiesta.....
