Linea is another worth considering after city if you are satisfied. Regarding it's engine, Initial pick up is low but with the time you'll get used to it.

By the way, Did you gave a thought to Corolla Altis? But it may exceed your budget.

Yes I am in a mood to extend my budget. yeah I have test driven this car also. If I extend my budget further then the following options are there:

1. Altis GL

2. Sonata

3. Jetta

Skoda not considering as engine are same as of VW and due to Horror stories I have read in various forums.

When T Jet linea is coming up. I waited that it will be lanuched in Auto Expo.
I think it was supposed to displayed there.
@Vibhor, Akash, Sidhhant - any dates for its release?? I think not before this quarter end.

Regarding Skoda service, it is bit costly but its not that bad as it is getting reported in other forums, at-least in Bangalore.

Altis is the best of the lot. Any ways even i wont have suggested you skoda when you have toyota on list. Even i am scared of Skoda after reading horrible experiences of some Skoda owners. But i think they have improved quite a lot since one of our active TAIn has a skoda Fabia but hasnt ever compalint much about the service.

There was no display of it. I even enquired about any future Linea upgrades but the executive had no info of the same.

Again Confusions? This takes to another segment. Don't stretch and fix your budget first.

That would be me!!
The spare parts cost and the charges are a bit scary, since all my previous vehicles were from the Maruti stable ... but nothing as horrible as I have been hearing.
Maybe you could check out my ownership report!!
But with the Jetta, are you not taking on the same establishment?
Among the shortlisted vehicles, I would think you will be happiest with the Altis.

WIth the new list of cars!

The best car will be Altis. Its most refined, powerful & cheaper to maintain!

Stay away from Sonata, Major facelift is expected very soon.

Jetta, Nice car, Not much dealerships & very noisy at higher revs [Diesel engines] !

I am sticking to my previous budget. Not going in for D segment cars.

Choice will be from Honda City, Ford Fiesta, Linea, cedia only.

I thought you had striked out City from your list.
Anyways i would still suggest you to go for City and not listen to those body rumours.
If City and Linea are out of list, then go for Fiesta, since with Cedia you may face service issues, availability of Mitsubishi dealerships is quite hard to find.

Hey Anuprav,
If after 149 posts and like what, 3 months or so, you are still undecided, then me thinks it is not for lack of advice, more likely an overdose of it. You just need to sit in each one of the contenders who are still around after the eliminations rounds, and buy whichever car sets your heart beating fastest!!
That is how I ended up in Fabia ... and it is a love affair that is still going strong!!
