A little late here. Many congrats for your new Honda. I am pretty surprised as well as disappointed with way Honda is treating their precious customers. The major USP of Honda is Customer service (other than refined engines) and if they continue this attitude of theirs, things wont go good for long!

... How much have you clocked on the odo till now? What's the Fuel efficiency your getting? Any issues faced regarding the car's ground clearance?
...
Thanks GM88 for the wishes, Yes I am enjoying. You may not believe I used to hate driving after work to home. Now a days that's one of the beautiful moment I am waiting for. I feel like a child [embarass]
Regarding the mileage, I have done about 600Kms so far, not exceeded 80Km/h and not beyond 2000rpm. Mileage figures I think its very difficult to declare as see it depends on the type of roads you are on. My city drive may not be your city drive. But assertion is like this. If its bumper to bumper and 1, 2, 3 gear drive you would get 9~10km/l, if its 3,4,5 gear drive you will get 11~13km/l and if its 4,5 gear drive you will get 16~17km/l. These figures I quoted are with AC on and worst possible figures IMO. I think that's pretty good IMO. But I feel these figures should improve as I clock more miles. Ground clearance is pretty good, never hit anything, but I slowdown adequately to pass the humps. I have seen I am able to negotiate the hump in second gear too. But I feel one has to be careful with the front part as the font bumpers are massive and hung lower and if you are on the downward slope and if you are hitting the brakes just before of a hump you still might scrap the font portion(while braking the font nose dips a bit). It happened once for me, nothing serious just a mild rub. But got to be careful.

Thanks Akash for the wishes.
Yes, customer service is basically non existence in India, but these foreign companies should be able to take advantage very easily. I think Hyundai is very successful in achieving it. At the end of day customer needs to 'feel' good. If that is not there why would people buy 'Rolls Royce'? I handle a IT for a large organization, when I buy my priority is always the customer service then come the quality of the product. Ultimately the customer service wins over product quality for me. Hope Honda realizes it, Honda no doubt has produced some of the great products and introduction of Jazz, Mobilio and may be the CSUV will take Honda to new heights but only they clean up their act.

The sunroof motor is in the front side of sunroof, they are pulled by the metallic threads, but could not pin point the position or see anything so that I can take picture. If you want to see the pic of the mechanism let me know I will post.

Wow, such a fab pics bro. I am in love with your photography and your Zuria.. [:)]
Thank you for your appreciation HaruH.

Received my tan Digifit mats, and they look fabulous. The fit is really good and makes the car look premium. Hope it remains that way for long time.

Just finished my first free service, I had my right door beading twisted at some point, which got replaced. Also my right side rear view mirror had some distortion. So I complained about it, it took lot of talking to explain them about the problem, but finally got replaced too. So basically everything is good.

But, in comparison to my Maruti service experience, no comparison at all. At Maruti, the technician explains all the work done in detail and I feel they are more professional. The first service is just a 'Checkup' than a service.

But they gave me free drop off to my home while drop off and pickup of my car.

Hi Indian,
Many congratulations on the Honda City. I had it in my list before gong for Verna. But my concern were the skinny tyres on city.

After the i20 incident i had, my immediate reaction was to change the tyres from stock. The stock tyres for magna were 175/65 R14 and i was thinking to upgrade it to 195/55r15, for which i got a quote of f 50K for 5 alloys and tyres. The reason i abandoned this idea was because for mainly two reasons.

1) Just tyre upgrades, did not guarantee me safety.
2) May have impact on the EPS motor load. I didn't get much material to read about it. What i understood was, by upgarding the tyres, there could be an increase load on the EPS motor on an average ratio and could lead to it's shorter life span and failure. When the Car comes from the factory the EPS motor load values are changed w.r.t the tyre profile. And if we have to upgrade the tyres we need to get the EPS re-flashed, which no one in the service center does or knows about it or simply ignores it. I saw your article and you have upgraded the tyres to very start. Did you notice any difference on the steering wheel ? Do you think such a thing could happen? I don't think older cars with hydraulic Steering system will have any impact.

I remember one of my friends i20 giving EPS warning light just by turning the steering left to right continuously in stand still. which is the indication of Motor heating up.

I was also was very afraid on the Company laying off the warranty just because we upgraded the tyres and the resultant has caused suspension and steering issues.

Thanks Madan,
Your doubts are valid ones wrt tire upgrade. But by going from stock to 195/65/15 you are adding 0.8 inches of rubber to width. I feel its not that big of a deal for EPS motor to handle. Yes adding 205 size might add some extra efforts, but one rarely rotates the steering at standstill. At running it should not matter IMO. But I just upgraded it at the beginning itself and I feel its the worth upgrade. Car's breaking, ride quality and road grip has increased.
Regarding the waranttee, actually my dealer himself was ready for upgrading the tires, so basically I don't see big risk here at least here in Mangalore dealeship. If at all they refuse some costly repair because of tire upgrade, I will have to find a used stock tire somewhere to swap temporarily[roll]
