Congrats for your Zuria, I would say it looks fabulous in white. I also wanted it in that color but had to change it to silver for getting it in reduced price. I have spent 2 weeks with it and love the whole experience.

While purchasing I also felt that keyless entry is just a gimmick but the more I use it, I love that feature..It makes it really easy to use the car.

Hi Indian, Accept my heartiest congratulations on your zuria. Have a great time with your two Cuties.

Nicely written review. Many thanks from all prospective buyers. Now for the querries

1. Many members even in other forums are discussing about tge scratch prone Acc and centre console. How do you plan to take care of it. Bcos with scratches the futurustic console will appear ugly.

2. I am familiar with sultry hot weather of mangalore. How do you rate the AC especially for rear passengers.

3. Noticed in several TD vehicles that rubber linings around the back doors are not properly worked out and are loose. Did you check.

4. Is the rear camera sufficient in tight spaces or will be best to get sensors installed.

That's all for now. Thanks in advance.

Hi
Congratulations on your new car. Drive safe.
Wishing you trouble free ownership.
You have nice writing skills and good photography skills.

Ankit
Thanks Ankit for the appreciation.

Excellent car with some equally excellent pictures. I am also a fan of Honda's outstanding petrol engines and the reliability of its cars.
Thanks, Yes, I hope this Honda also does not disappoint me.

Congrats on the Honda City white Zuria. Wish you may miles ahead. I think at the end it was worth a wait for you.
Thanks, yes even I feel its the wait worth waiting for.

Thanks Raj for the quick reply. My Concerns are with the key less entry as my SA was insisting me to go for V variant quoting that the keyless entry in VX is causing battry to drain quickly, but he was unable to explain me the reason behind it.
Also is there any wind noise in the cabin while cruising with sunroof in open condition on highways? My dealership has till date not provided me a top model for test drive as they say the production is very less for VX models and no test drive vehicles are available.
Also the Leather Seats being of Beige Color how do you plan to take care of them?
Keyless entry causing battery drain, most hilarious thing ever heard. Just laugh at it. Sales associates will tell anything to sell the cars in stock. Most of then are very inexperienced and have very little knowledge about automotive. Thats the sad thing. We have to make a educated guess(thanks sites like TAI) But VX and V are produced less so you have to decide based on your patience level. I feel V-MT is value for money than VX. Leather seat care, will be a issue. But in my case AC is always on so that should take care of dust issue. But then I will investigate more on the care of leather seats here in Indian conditions. Will keep it posted on this thread.

Congo Bro, enjoy your new ride, happy drive [:)]
Thanks bro.

Congrats on your City Indian sir.Your City looks awesome in White colour.
Thanks buddy.

Thanks buddy, regarding your questions.
The piano finish scratches, yes I am worried about it too, still no answer but watching it carefully.
Its very humid in Mangalore, today it was about 35 degrees, AC for the front passengers is adequate, never really got to check the back seat fellows as I use it solo majority of the times. But AC is not a chiller that I have observed.
The rubber beading are ok, but the quality looked poor. Some places it looks like cut by hand(not a factory finish), but did not find anything loose. I will check again tomorrow and report.
Regarding the rear camera, it is perfectly ok for things behind you, but issue is sides, which is not helped by the camera view. You still have to look back and do your judgement. yes the sensors might help.

Thanks Raja for the kind words and appreciation. Buying anything is a passionate thing, we buy things because we like them. Its like getting married. I think everyone does that detailed analisis but only few express it openly. Thanks once again for the encouragement.

Thanks jags, yeah the most of the negatives are not actually negatives, they are just 'Wish' list and wish list never ends really. And given the options available now even if I have to choose again it will be City eyes closed. I am too enjoying every minute of it. Being a city owner your constant presence is requested here.

All the best to you, Zuria!

You got a lovely car mate. Beautifully written ownership thread, very well complemented by nicely captured pictures too. Congrats.[:)]

If not for my obsession with SUVs, I would have picked a Honda City or may be a Verna. Nice choice there.

Wishing you & your family, a great time with your new companion [thumbsup]

Heartily Congratulations Indian, you have almost covered all the aspects of the car. A quick question. Since, you have already been driving swift ZXI, what difference you felt w.r.t handling, ride quality, fun to drive nature in comparisons to that of Honda city. Which one of these both you felt better in their respective categorizes, as both of them are known as driver's car.

Once again, congratulations on your new car. Waiting to see the interiors of the car. Please update with all the interior features.

Can you also list out the features that you find useful/unique and the ones that are just sales pitch?

Thanks Manoj, yep even for some brief period even I was bit biased towards those so called 'SUVs' (Ecosport and Duster). Then come out of that myth somehow. The real SUVs not at all my requirements as I am a more of city driver, and I am not planning for off roading. Yes City and Verna are biggest attractions for people like me. Kerala trip is still pending, I think since its driving distance next destination may be Kerala.

Thanks dravid for the wishes. Regarding the Swift v/s City, surprisingly I don't differentiate much. Both are equally good in city. Initially I used to think that City may be difficult vehicle in busy streets. But last week I was in one of the busiest roads in Mangalore(Market road) I was able to park the car in a narrow space and able to navigate in the urban jungle just like I did it with Swift. But since City has punchier engine, overtaking is extremely confidence inspiring one in comparison to Swift. One issue with City though, reversing, in Swift considering there is no boot. It is very easy to backup and park where as in City you got to be careful. I think in city the revering camera is a must as it has high rear view and there is a boot. But City is lot quieter than Swift engine. Another big change is the turning radius. Swift was 4.8 and City 5.3 so you have little trouble getting used to that larger circle. At mall parking you might have to do a additional reverse and forward maneuver. W.r.t ride, handling and fun to drive I think city has slightly better edge as more powerful engine, good suspensions and quieter cabin than Swift in a city environment. Yet to take it on HW. One issue I noted is the access to horn, Swift its easy to access the horns while driving where as in City you have to move your palm or stretch yourself to access the horn. At panic situations it might be a issue. But that's the same thing even on Verna and Ecopsport, I think in global designs the horns are designed that way as only in India people use horns every minute.

Once again, congratulations on your new car. Waiting to see the interiors of the car. Please update with all the interior features.

Thanks Highway Ranger, yes the interior pics will upload shortly. I will try to answer other question on the feature too. Right now I am too busy as I am trying to find to reason to drive my Zuria [evil]. I am just waiting for my wife to tell me some home chores, not refusing anything since about a week. (Earlier I had lot of 'valid' reasons for not doing them[evil])

View on the front row. Check the curved roof and people who are tall might find this a issue. I am 5'9" and I am ok, but there is about 2 to 3 inch clearance. Also sunroof also reduces the headroom further. Check the tweeter on the left door. Seat size is adequate.
IMG_6312.jpg

The drivers door opened, check the angle of opening in the shadow below, not 90 degrees. I think Verna does open full.
IMG_6310.jpg

View from the back seat, with sun visors opened. Drivers side get vanity mirror(Not illuminated). Also check the two map lights, push to switch on/off. Button there on the right is for sunroof operation. Sun roof opens full and pop up. The closing of the sunroof one touch automatic. You can pause the opening in between by pressing the button again.
IMG_6303.jpg

Dash View: Right and left AC vents can be closed. Center two can not be closed. Dead pedal, does not look very useful. Look at the premium gear shift knob, I am ready to swap this one for free with low variant.[evil]
Still waiting for mats, so its naked so far.
IMG_6301.jpg

Rear AC vents: Note the open close knob. There are reports that many people broke this vent lever. Dont know why. Ordered by children not to operate it harshly.
IMG_6293.jpg

Rear seats: Most liked feature of new City! Best in class. Very good under thigh support. Mild hump in the middle but not interfering with movement. Again door does not open full in the rear. Also watch the rear head room. But amazing knee room even after relaxed front seat position. Very good visibility for rear passengers, very well lit. My wife says back seats are more comfortable than the front.
IMG_6290.jpg

Just the front view, watch the amazing view of river Nethravathi.
IMG_6295.jpg
Rear seats: Excellent cushion support and very comfortable. Note the hump behind the rear seat, this makes it mandatory to have rear camera. Anything parked behind even a full sized cars may be hidden.
IMG_6286.jpg

Sorry about the picture quality as it was 38degrees at noon 12PM could not really plan and do. But just wanted to convey the information with the help of pictures. Hope you dont mind that.

More coming soon.
