My Mtb, doing a full overhaul

You have good collection of MTB related tools. You are putting them to good use. Do post more pictures of your MTB after the work is completed. Have you changed the tyre of MTB in all these years? The tread depth appears new.

Now thats some good DIY in progress!
What type of grease/oil/lubricant you plan to use on fitting back?
Please look closely .Are there scoring marks on the cassette?Or just a photo -angle- reflection?
If yes, where can you get the spares.Too many questions.Apologies.Got carried away!

Hello Friends

I have recently replaced stock horn of my Honda Dio scooter to Hella Mach Trumpet Horn. I was able to install the horn on the same location of stock horn and it didn't require additional wiring and/or relay. Honda Dio has dome front panel so the new horn didn't obstruct when reassembled. Stock horn was malfunctioning sometimes and it had boring tune so replaced it with trumpet horn and I like it.

I bought it for Rs. 276 from Amazon India and MRP is Rs. 285/- Here is the link to the listing but it is out of stock now so you have to wait or find the same in local automobile shops.

I had to replace the battery also because it was not able to provide enough current for starter motor. 2 years ago the stock battery died so I replaced it with Amaron Pro Rider battery 4AH which comes with 24 months full replacement warranty + 24 months pro rata. Now the second battery is also dead after 28 months which is under pro rata warranty and I got 40% off in exchange. Replacement battery comes with 24+24 months warranty which is nice but I'll never buy batteries from Amaron again. Exide batteries are much battery and the same on my car is working fine since 2015.

Meanwhile I had spare car voltmeter and decided to install the same inside instrument cluster of my Honda Dio. So that I could keep track of battery voltage and charging voltage. Looks little ugly but it is only way to install without making any cut outs on dashboard.

Thanks...

This Hella sound is 10 times better than the stock horn sound. Good job with neatness too. You have fine hands I must say.
Are the specs of the New horn same as the old one? Or
Does it draw more battery.?
Voltmeter is a smart idea. Never heard of it, that too in the dial itself. Congratulations. Small Mission accomplished. Now move on to the next one!!

H tone along-with L tone you mean??
Yes. IMO horn always sounds good as a pair (H and L).

But that would put double the load on the battery,no?
This is no pulsar.
Adding a relay won't put load on stock wiring. Did a couple of Dios and Activas long long long ago, even a Pep. Why should Pulsars have all the fun.

My Amaron on Activa lasted Very exactly 5 years. And died on the same Date/Month as Purchase date. Just 1 year past warranty.
Old activa comes with full size 5A battery. I can see that new bikes coming with cut-size battery. Maybe thats the reason they do not last as much.

This is awesome. Not even cars are coming with feature. I think your install location is perfect. Just paint the exposed parts of Circuit black, Then it will look nice.
