^^ I understand, but when i test drove the car, i felt it is little underpowered, especially in highways. Yes, i did test drove in combination of highway+city and for city it is perfect car. Even though with this mixed opinion, i went ahead and booked, cause most of my running will be in city.

And this car has something, that other manufacturers lack. Build quality in interiors and decent exterior design with minimal curves. The boot is not ugly like dzire nor looking odd like Amaze. Features list is something amaze should be ashamed of. And this is what pulled me towards this car and i am happy with this car.

I was in an impression that the mirrors autofold/unfold when the vehicle is locked/unlocked. But when i went to the showroom today to see a S variant, it seems its missing on S and is only available in SX. Can someone confirm that?

Best features + interiors at this price bracket and add some simple exterior touch, and duh! Hyundai have a new model here. I wish to see some good engine update, say 1.4L Engine which tweaked for better mileage will be good, cause with such huge body weight 1.2L engine is not a good option. This is just my opinion and even after knowing this, i went ahead and booked one. How dumb i am?
They wouldn't upgrade the engine to 1.4L, cause then they would lose out on the tax benefits of the small cars. Remember <4m length + (1.2L Petrol or 1.5L Diesel) is combination which gets the lower tax structure.

There is no restriction for Enigne to be under 1.2L to avail tax benefits of small car
Tata Indigo ECS has 1.4L engine with <4m length.
But yes certainly upgrading to 1.4L would have increased the cost which Hyundai wouldnt have wanted to compete in Market.

^^ I was just pointing out my view and i am not complaining but give an point to improvise, so they can be one step ahead of competitors.

And finally, SA guy informed the delivery date. It's 24th of this month. :( That's approximately 6 weeks time my booking date. That guy promised me 4 weeks and it is extended to 6.

I took my beauty for a long trip this weekend. And it was the most enjoyable drive ever.It maneuvered quite easily over the ghats section. Not much body roll. No tiredness whatsoever.
Took out the mileage. 16 to be exact. The tires grip well over sharp turns. Overall quite an enjoyable experience.

Hi Rishabh_m,

This is true, I own an S variant I too wanted this fancy feature but you do have a button inside which you can use to do the same.

The way i see it, say you are parking in a cramped spot with folded mirror.
you do not want it to auto open when it unlocks, until you get the car out of that spot! [;)]

16 is great motor lover. I too took mine for a weekend trip, but my tank is not yet empty so no math done yet.....

On route my weekend trip....

will post some interior pics when the seat covers are in place.

I have added garware front glass anti glare film - It really protects from Heat which mostly comes from the front of the car. thus helping to use AC less.

I have not done any body coating , engine coating or under-body coating.
has any one done this ? I have been told its waste of money.... so not yet made my decision...

I took my Xcent Petrol S last weekend to a near by Hill Station approx 140 Km one way with lot of Ghats!

Not once did I need to switch off the AC or felt under powered.
we were 4 people with substantial luggage in the boot.

Steering is like playing NFS LIVE..... :-)

We do own an diesel Indica as well..... and i missed it for the thrill of risk taking overtakes,
since you really have to draw the power out of the engine. :P

Meanwhile Xcent..... JUST STEP ON IT and its done!!!! :-)

[cry] I know its good at times that it doesnt open on unlock, but i would have loved it if it closed the mirrors on locking [;)]

My Red Xcent Petrol S finally arrived on the 7th. Very Happy!!!! :-)

Never before experienced such a smooth drive.

Its a full fledged sedan, no less....
Hi blitz, Congrats for your new ride, wishing you many happy miles ahead[drive]

Congrats All Proud Xcent Owners.

I too have a Silver Xcent S(O).

Its really a VFM. Engine is super silent. Too good insulation inside the cabin.

And the ICE with blue color at night looks really awesome.

All in all a nice package by Hyundai.

Hi furious driver, they will not upgrade engine to 1.4L as this will lead them to pay higher excise duty which increase the cost accordingly and also it will be stand as a competitor of Verna if they updgrade to 1.4L.

Hi rishabh, the mirrors autofold/unfold when the vehicle is locked/unlocked feature is only available in SX trim.

Hi Xcent owners!

A quick question for you.

My father booked Xcent SX (O) AT last month. The booking amount was Rs.10,000.
Now the Sales Executive is saying we need to pay the Full Exshowroom Amount inorder for the company to send the car from the plant to showroom.
I do not want to pay 8 Lakhs rupees even before I see my vehicle.
What is your opinion? Does hyundai ask for full amount even before the vehicle has left the plant? Does not make any sense to me[surprise]

@stingray91
Well, you are comparing two cars of different league. WagonR is WagonR and people will buy it for it's sheer mileage, low maintenance cost and known maruthi brand.

On the other hand, Xcent is a sedan to match against the likes of Amaze and DZire. I drove Amaze, DZire and Xcent and booked Xcent as i found the overall package of Xcent is much better.

Also, pull-up reverse in diesel model only

@Fabz
He is clearly lying to you. I booked with 10k and wither today or tomorrow it will reach showroom/yard. After the PDI, i will pay the full amount. So just tell him, you can't pay full amount until you see the car for yourself.

Hyundai never asks for full amount, this is the case of dealer playing with you. If your car is in plant then ask dealer to give its VIN and please dont pay in full before doing PDI.

Hi Fabz, the dealer should not ask for complete payment until the car reached his stockyard. I booked a Xcent Diesel S(O) about two weeks back with 10k only. I have been confirmed the VIN, chases/engine no. today. Post that I did the complete payment today and will be getting the delivery tomorrow morning. So I would suggest you to stand firm and don't make complete payment.
